Troubleshooting
"Camera is currently in use by another application"
-
If you receive an error of this type, check the following:
- Another application may be utilizing the camera. Only one application can use the camera at a time.
- Verify that the camera is connected to the USB port.
- Verify that the USB port on the computer is enabled (check the computer documentation)
- The USB port is not functioning. Connect it to another port. If using the camera on a hub, connect directly to the back of the computer.
- The camera driver is not installed. Reinstall the QuickCam software.
“An error occurred in the Software” when attempting to use Video Effects.
- If you receive this error, reboot the system. This is usually the result of a Instant Messaging (IM) Client installing in admin mode when they should be installing in User mode. Contact the particular client to find out when installation will support user mode. Rebooting the system corrects this problem.
Poor audio experience when having an audio conversation using 3rd party application.
There are situations where the desired expected improvements using Automatic Echo Cancellation and/or Noise suppression, do not provide the optimal experience. In these situations it is suggested to first disable Noise Suppression if it is enable, and then Cancel Echo. In most cases disabling Noise Suppression for a client application will address the problem.
