This can be caused by a number of factors. Check the following:
-
Check your wireless encryption key is entered correctly. It may be case-sensitive.
-
Make sure your router’s SSID (network name) is unique, not a generic name such as NETGEAR or LINKSYS. If you are using a generic name, you may be connecting to a nearby wireless network and not your own. To find your router’s SSID, see your router documentation.
-
Move your Squeezebox Receiver and Controller closer to the wireless router and try connecting again.
-
Check with your router’s manufacturer to be sure you have installed the latest router software.
-
Disconnect the power to your router. Wait one minute and reconnect power to your router.
-
Make sure MAC filtering is either:
-
Turned off in your router
-
Enter the correct MAC addresses for both your Squeezebox Controller and your Receiver into your router. See your router documentation for instructions on setting up MAC filtering.
Controller MAC address is located in the battery compartment as shown above.
Receiver MAC address is located on the bottom as shown above.
-
-
Reduce possible Radio Frequency (RF) interference by moving 2.4GHz portable phones, and other wireless devices away from your Squeezebox Duet during setup.
