This happens when the headset is not properly docked during the firmware update. The headset must remain docked or it will result in an error, prompting the user to dock the device in the middle of the firmware update.
If the application closes unexpectedly or if the firmware update's progress bar remains visible for more than 10 minutes, try the following troubleshooting steps:
Dock the headset in the base station.
End the process called LGHUB Agent from the system tray.
Relaunch the application and try updating the firmware.
