Important information for Logitech Control Center and macOS Catalina: Update LCC before installing macOS Catalina

If you use Logitech Control Center (LCC) 3.9.8 or earlier, please update to the latest version of LCC before you upgrade to macOS 10.15 (Catalina).
To install the latest version, open LCC and click on any device. From the menu bar, select Check for Updates. You can also get the latest version from the Download page here https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360025297833

NOTE: We are aware that after upgrading from macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier to macOS 10.15 Catalina with LCC (Logitech Control Center) versions 3.9.8 or below, some Logitech Unifying-based devices may stop working. This is a known issue on macOS 10.15 Catalina and we’re actively working with Apple to address it.
In the meantime, if your Unifying device is not working after upgrading to macOS Catalina, please upgrade to LCC 3.9.9 from this link and reboot the system to complete the installation.
If your device is still not working, please check which version of the Unifying drivers are loaded into the system, to do so:
1. Launch Terminal from /Applications/Utilities folder
2. Run the following command :
kextstat | grep -i Logi

If the “com.Logitech.Unifying.HIDDriver” is any version other than 1.3.9, then the new driver was not properly loaded by macOS Catalina. To fix this issue, please try the following steps:
1. Start your system in Recovery Mode:
- Restart your computer (From the menu bar, click on the Apple logo and select Restart)
- Hold the "Command" and "R" keys until the Apple logo appears
2. You should see "macOS Utilities" screen, if not, repeat step (1).
3. Close this window using the red button on the top left
4. Click on "Choose Startup Disk..."
5. Then select "Restart.."
6. Lastly, select "Restart" again - you may see a spinning icon for a few minutes before rebooting.

2. Remove remnant files
Step 1: Open Finder, and choose the Go > Go to Folder from the Menu Bar.
Step 2: Type /Library in the Go to Folder box and hit Enter key to open it up.
Step 3: As the /Library folder shows up, type the keyword(s) of Logitech in the Search box, and click on Library next to the Search:again.
Step 4: As the results appear, identify and select the matched items with the named of the keyword(s), then right click on them and choose Move to Trash option.
Step 5: Repeat the same steps to delete Logitech Options traces in the ~/Library directory.
The /Library is at the top level of your hard drive, while ~/Library is inside your Home Folder. Removing related items from both these locations is necessary to completely uninstall Logitech Options 6.70.2047. Junk files could be found in the following directories:
/Library~/Library
/Library/Application Support~/Library/Application Support
/Library/Preferences~/Library/Preferences
/Library/Caches/~/Library/Caches/
/Library/LaunchAgents~/Library/LaunchAgents
/Library/LaunchDaemons~/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/PreferencePanes~/Library/PreferencePanes
/Library/StartupItems~/Library/StartupItems
3. Restart your computer
4. Update macOS to the latest release
5. Download the latest version of our software from below:

Same issue here.
Mouse works on logon screen but after logon, it stops working. The side buttons and scrolling works but the pointer doesn't move at all.
LCC version 3.9.9
Logi Option 8.02.86
Looking at system Console, whenever I move my M510, it yelds this:
error 10:40:40.621274-0300 kernel IOHIDInterface:0x10000093e Report too large 15 8
error 10:40:40.629261-0300 kernel IOHIDInterface:0x10000093e Report too large 13 8All the settings related to Security & Privacy, like Input Monitoring, Accessibility, etc are also OK.
Quite bizarre to have this kind of issues at this point. The beta phase of Catalina took months, why didn't sort this out before the GA of 10.15?

@Jonathan Blaine - Mine wouldn't die either but I just tried multiple times (out of frustration) and it eventually died.
I have not had an issue with my mouse since I did that. I havent restarted my comp yet, but I have disconnected from the BT mouse multiple times and it has reconnected and had no issues since.

It does work again after updating the firmware of the unifying receiver.

Even though I had the correct drivers, I switched startup disks then back. Same problem.
Options recognizes the M705 but cannot get it to pair.

This worked for me, when I ran the command in Terminal both software versions were .8 after doing the suggested restart both versions are showing as .9 adn my keyboard works.
My M570 worked thru and after updating to Catalina but my K350 keyboard quit working. Both are working now. I do hope it stays that way!

Sorry, but for me, this is partially fixed. I have always some Problems with my mouse MX Master 2. The scrolling isn't possible.

This is definitely a driver issue.
I went ahead and purged everything related to Options by searching and deleting in Library. It then worked! Of course, I couldn't customize it, but it was working.
BUT on restart, the mouse had the same problem. Worked for 1 or 2 seconds and froze. The mouse should work without Options installed.
So, I'm guessing those who get their products working by updating to the most recent drivers and then get it working by updating to 3.9.9 are having different problems than those with other products like the M705.

This is extreme expert black diamond skiing stuff that gets deep into the engine of your Mac. Not for the timid nor inexperienced and could kill your Mac. I will not be trying this.

So much difficulty. I am NOT going into the Terminal on my work Mac for fear of screwing things up. Its a good think this happened before I bought a new Master mouse for my home Mac. Not going any further with Logitech which is a bummer since I hate the Apple mouse. Also, Logitech says to install the new driver BEFORE installing Catalina. WTH?!?!?! How are we supposed to know that it was not going to work? F. Now Im even more pissed off.

I created a user here just to post that this fixed the problem I was having with the K780 Keyboard and Catalina on a Mac Mini.
After upgrading I was locked out of the Mini since the keyboard didn't work; I was able to log in with a Magic Keyboard (a loaner).
Upgrading Logitech Control Center to 3.3.9 didn't fix the issue nor giving all the user permissions explained here:
The command above shows that Logitech Control Center wasn't upgraded properly.
