What is Enhanced Easy-Switch?
Enhanced Easy-Switch is a feature in Logi Options+ App that enables your Logitech mouse to automatically follow your supported paired keyboard (refer the Compatible Devices in Prerequisites) when you switch between computers. This simplifies your workflow by synchronizing your devices — when you switch your keyboard to a new computer, your mouse switches with it automatically.
Prerequisites
To use Enhanced Easy-Switch, your setup must meet the following requirements:
Latest Logi Options+ App: Must be installed and running on all computers you intend to switch between.
Wireless Connection: Devices must be connected via Bluetooth or Logi Bolt.
Note: Devices connected via the older Unifying Receiver or Wired (USB) cable are not supported.
Pairing: Devices must be paired on all computers you intend to switch between before linking the device.

Firmware: Your keyboard must have the latest firmware in order to configure and use Enhanced Easy-Switch. Logi Options+ will prompt you to update if a version upgrade is required.
Setting up Enhanced Easy-Switch
Enhanced Easy Switch needs to be set up manually.
Step 1: Manually Pair Devices (Required on all computers)
Before enabling the feature, you must ensure your keyboard and mouse are manually paired to the corresponding channels on each computer you want to use.
- Example: If you use two computers (computer A and computer B), pair both the keyboard and mouse to computer A on any one of the available channels, and pair both to computer B in another available free channel.
Step 2: Link Devices in Logi Options+ (One-time setup)
You only need to set up the link on one computer. Because the settings are stored directly on the device, your mouse and keyboard will automatically switch together across all your current computers, and any you add in the future, provided the prerequisites (like having Logi Options+ installed) are met.
- Open Logi Options+.
- Select your Keyboard.
- Navigate to the Easy-Switch tab. (If the tab is not present, navigate to the Connectivity tab and then click the Easy-Switch panel.)
- In the Easy-Switch tab, click the “Configure” link.
- Under Link compatible devices, toggle the switch ON for the mouse or pointing device you want to couple.
Limitations
Supported Platforms
This feature is currently supported on Windows and macOS.
Keyboard-Initiated Only
Pressing the Easy-Switch button on your mouse will only switch the mouse. The keyboard will not follow. You must use the keyboard Easy-Switch keys in order to switch both devices simultaneously.
Device Sleep Mode
If your mouse is in deep sleep mode (ex., after being idle), the keyboard cannot wake it up. The keyboard will switch instantly, but the mouse will remain on the old computer until you manually switch it.
Rapid Switching
Switching channels too quickly (ex., pressing 1-2-3 in rapid succession) may cause the mouse not to switch quickly across the paired computers. Allow a few seconds for the devices to sync. In case the mouse was left behind and remained on the previous host, switch the Mouse manually to the Host in which the keyboard is active to continue to use them in sync.
Corporate/IT Blocks
If you switch to a computer where Logi Options+ is blocked by IT or is not installed, the mouse will not switch. The app is required on the receiving computer to complete the action.
No Clipboard Sharing
Unlike Logitech Flow, this feature does not support copying and pasting text or files between computers.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Does Enhanced Easy-Switch work on Linux, ChromeOS, or iPadOS?
No. This feature requires the Logi Options+ app to be installed and running to function, which is currently available only on Windows and macOS. If you switch to a device running an unsupported operating system (where Options+ cannot be installed), the mouse will not automatically follow the keyboard back when you switch away.
How many devices can I link to my keyboard?
You can link up to three devices in total to a single keyboard, for example one Mouse, one Dial (ex, MX Creative Dial), and one Touchpad (ex., Casa Touch).
Can I link multiple mice to one keyboard?
Yes, you can link a maximum of two mice to the same keyboard.
Why are only two of my devices listed in the Enhanced Easy Switch panel when pairing with the Bolt receiver?
The Logi Bolt receiver can pair with up to six devices, but it’s designed to support a maximum of three simultaneously active devices.
If you’re using four or more devices at the same time (ex., a keyboard, mouse, MX Creative Dial, and Casa Touch), we recommend connecting one of the devices via Bluetooth to avoid this limitation.
Does it work with wired devices?
No. The feature requires Bolt-compatible devices in wireless connection. Devices connected via USB cable are excluded from the list and cannot be linked.
Can I use this with a Unifying Receiver?
No. Enhanced Easy-Switch only supports devices connected via Bluetooth or Logi Bolt. Devices using Unifying technology are not supported, even if they are connected via Bluetooth.
Do I need to link the devices on every computer?
No. Linking is a one-time setup done on a single computer. Once configured, the settings persist across all paired hosts.
My mouse is not showing up in the list to link
- Check the connection: Ensure the mouse is connected via Bluetooth or Logi Bolt (not Unifying or wired).
- Check if the mouse is turned on: If the mouse was off or sleeping when you opened the settings, it might not appear. Try restarting Logi Options+ or toggling the Easy-Switch tab to refresh the list.
- Check if the mouse is paired: The mouse must be actively paired to the current computer to appear in the list.
What happens if I switch to a computer without Logi Options+ installed?
The keyboard and mouse will switch in sync instantly, but they cannot return in sync from the host without Options+. Logi Options+ must be installed on the host computer to command the mouse to switch.
What happens if I reset my keyboard using "Reset to Default Settings" in Logi Options+?
If you reset to default settings, your linked devices and Easy-Switch channels are preserved.
What happens if I unpair my mouse from the computer's Bluetooth settings?
If you delete the mouse from the host's pairing list, it is silently unlinked from Enhanced Easy-Switch and will be removed from the configuration list.
Does Logi Options+ backup my Easy-Switch settings?
No. Easy-Switch channel configurations are stored directly on the device and are not included in the Logi Options+ "Backup and Restore" feature.
Can I link two keyboards to the same mouse?
No. Currently, a mouse can only be paired with one keyboard at a time. If you decide to link your mouse to a new keyboard, it will automatically unlink from the first one to establish the new connection.
Does the system detect if the other computer is asleep or powered off?
No. Enhanced Easy-Switch does not use the network to check the status of the other computer. It will attempt to switch regardless of the other computer's state.
