The Logitech Options+ offline installer enables users as well as ITDMs to install the software to computers that do not have access to the internet (or are on an air-gapped network). It shares all the same features as the retail online Options+ version.
Why choose the offline installer over the retail online version of Options+
- Air Gapped Network — for computers that are offline and have no direct access to the internet. The offline version of Options+ can be installed on those computers without the need to download additional content.
- Security — the offline version of Options+ cannot send or receive data (ex. analytics or firmware status). The same goes for receiving data from servers to the offline version of Options+ within the network.
Silent installation notes:
- The installer file is around 406 MB in size for Windows .exe and 483MB for MacOS .pkg file.
- The Options+ offline installer can be used with the script DFU tool.
- The existing Options+ offline app can be left installed if the user wants to install a newer version of the Options+ offline installer — just run the installer on the same computer and it will carry out an upgrade. This so the end user will not lose their settings or paired devices.
- The Options+ offline installer will have the same security structure as the online version.
- The user will need administrator access to install the offline version, the same as the online version of Options+ installer (if connected to a domain network).
