Can't select Manufacturer when trying to add DVD player for Harmony 890

I have finally upgraded some of my devices and need to reprogram my old 890 harmony remote which I love. I was able to add my new projector, but when trying to add a new DVD player I get stuck.  I have a windows 10 PC, and Harmony (7.8.1.0) software loaded. When I select add a device -> DVD -> the next box select manufacturer says loading really quick and then an option given for a drop down box that says select manufacturer, but pressing in the box does not do anything and the application become unresponsive for a short period and have to cancel out.  This happens when trying to add other devices as well.

Suggestions to get this working?

  Hi,

  1. try version 7.7.1

  2. wait for several minutes. I had the same experience and cancled to early. Once after a cigarette and a fresh coffee the drop down was filled with manufactures but it took ages.

  I found 7.7.0 version and that seemed to work. Thank you!!!!
