I have noted instances where running apps (such as a game in full-screen mode) on my desktop PC are interrupted and minimized a few minutes after I log in.  When this occurs, I see the Logitech Unifying Software icon    appear in the system tray for a few seconds.  I have tried clicking or right-clicking on the icon when it appears, but it does not open.  I turned off the automatic update setting for all of my Logitech apps, but this issue persists.

 

I believe my Logitech Unifying Software version 2.50.25 is the current version.  My PC runs Windows 10 version 20H2 64-bit and is up to date with all Windows updates.

 

I have Keyboard K520 and Mouse M510 paired to the Logitech USB device.

 

Is there any way to resolve this issue?

  Thanks for your reply.  The issue remains as reported.  I restarted my PC at 2:32 PM EST specifically to watch for the issue.  The Logitech Unifying Software opened at 2:47 PM EST (15 minutes later) and I saw the orange icon in the system tray, for just a few seconds.  I also had Task Manager open; it appeared at the top of the Processes tab under Apps for those same few seconds.  This only happens once after each startup or restart.

  The issue I reported last month is perhaps related.  The same small firmware updates (0.03 KB each) kept looping (reappearing after being installed). I turned off automatic updates on all Logitech apps installed on my PC, which stopped the update looping.

  The issue went away after I uninstalled the Logitech Options application.  The issue seems to started with the latest release of Logitech Options (version 8.36.86 released 03-Dec-2020).  Perhaps there is a bug in this version of the app.
