Right! I just spent $250 on a remote designed for home automation and it doesn't talk to Wemo devices OR IFTTT? What gives? Seems like a no-brainer. Lots of people have Wemo in their homes now. Let's make this happen ASAP!

Please add my voice to this request. I would love to have a start/end activity trigger in IFTTT so I can have a recipe/applet turning on/off a Wemo connected device when I start/end an activity.

Hey Logitech, we are here, we are your customers and we don't care if you did wrong deals with any special brands... We need Harmony as IFTTT trigger and we need it now.... My home is smart, has cameras, alarm and lights, but none of these devices are connected or managed by Harmony, you are only able to manage my home theater, so if you are thinking you are a home automation hub, forget about it, to me, at this point, you are just an awesome remote control ...

Thanks for so much support. I'm not a programmer so I don't know how much work this might be. I just hope that the girls and guys at Logitech will not let us down for to long. IFTTT just relaunched the system and made it even more powerfull. It would be awesome if our Harmony remotes could participate in the evolution of the internet of things.

You know you can purchase a Google Home and it can be the IFTTT trigger.

@Jay Vee , you're not wrong, but the idea of spending an additional $130 to add something that will serve as an intermediary between devices that should already be talking to each other... it's just wrong.

I need Harmony to talk to Wemo, but apparently that's asking too much. As a work-around, I could use IFTTT, which is foolhardy because then I need internet access to turn on a switch in the house. Now you're telling me that to get IFTTT triggers from Harmony, I will need a Google Home. So to turn on a switch, I'll need to program a Harmony to talk to a Google Home, so it can call IFTTT, which will hopefully pass a command onto a Wemo switch that is sitting 3ft from the Harmony that can't get it's act together and just talk to a **** Wemo. This isn't rocket surgery. Logitech needs to get it together.

I would assume that's where Home Hub Extender comes into play.

Logitech is trying to build its own ecosystem with Home Hub + Extender at the center.  You build rules to fire triggers in Extender.

If they integrated rulesets in remotes, they won't be selling as many Hubs+Extenders.  ;-)

Okay, but Zigbee is only one of many other wireless connections. I don't have a single Zigbee device. I use HomeMatic, which is very popular in Europe. The thing is I don't want several gateways on my sideboard.  IFTTT is sometimes a mess and perhaps not the fastest solution. And yes I need an internet connection. But it is a service that connects almost everything.

I would also like to see an IFTTT trigger, so I can control my lighting from my harmony remote.  Thanks!

I have the hub and even with it IFTTT triggers can only be setup on the start or end of an activity.  I like all of you just want to have them as triggers on buttons on the remote.

+1 for supporting IFTTT triggers, and ideally also Stringify flows for event smarter events! It seems crazy that both services can activate Harmony events, but neither can be called from Harmony. It makes this 'smart' device feel fairly dull.

IFTTT is very limited, why not go for Tasker directly? That would truly open opp a whole universe of possibilities!

Created my account just for this. Please make Hub as a IFTT trigger and take my money!

Agreed. I can't find a UK mains plug that will work with my Harmony Hub but if it had IFTTT triggers, there are a few to choose from. Surely this is a far easier way for the engineers to solve this problem?

+1 Surely they can squeeze this functionality into one of their software updates.

+1 surprised this isn't an actual function as system will probably be obsolete in a year without it...

+1 Is this still the case?

I've literally just purchased and installed the LightwaveRF because I was told that it works with harmony via IFTTT (clearly not). Has anyone found a work around or know of a different brand that suppliers Wifi controlled dimmer switches that can be controlled via harmony?

Hopefully i'm wrong but it seems Logitech have been aware what their customers need for nearly a year now and nothing has been done....
