I hope they are not all like that. I went through that with the Creative SoundblasterX Katana. The low volume was way to loud over USB....but it still sound good. Creative fixed it a week later with a driver and firmware update.

    ?

    Mine should be here tomorrow.

Same problem here. Tried to watch a movie, windows volume set to 2 could barely hear the dialogue and the bass is entirely too loud. Also if i try to raise the volume around 10 everything is obnoxiously loud

i mean they sound great at 30-40 IF i want them that loud. the auto equalizer is bad though as at low volumes it is PURE bass. once you get to 10 it goes away and becomes better. but then it's just too loud. unless you are having a dance party. again, loud in a bad way.

I'm very use to the Creative T4 Wireless speakers which work over optical and sound incredible. Although Creative is not known for great software the utility used to control the equalizer, bit rate, and sound sampling is awesome. I wish Logitech would open the doors and allow more control for the user to fine tune the audio experience to his or her liking. This generic equalizer thing is getting crappy.

Yep, a number of users have posted about this including myself. I'm really hoping they fix this.

Same problem, too loud at low levels and too much bass.... Have ancient Bose sub 2 sat setup that I bought for my Apple ][ gs, they sound way better. May switch back until this gets fixed or just return them and add an RGB strip to the Bose.

I find the same. However, I find that any volume lower than 14 and the volume doesn't just adjust lower the sound becomes slightly muddled. Not distorted or bad, but almost like the highs are rolled off. The sound isn't as crisp. Also, sometimes the physical volume controller on my Logitech keyboard requires the software to "catch up to it."

My audio isn't too loud at lower settings. Under 14 I'm having the above issue which makes for head phone use the better option at that point when I'm trying not to crank up the sound.

I feel much of this could have been avoided with just a simple bass volume knob on the sub, even if it were located in the back of it. Not disappointed with the product. I was either going with this or the Creative Kratos S5 and I still feel this is the superior product, but seems like as of right now the S5 had more ease of use.

I have the same issue, even at 2 the volume is way too loud and seems to be nothing but bass.

I have the same issue. At the lowest volume settings 2 it's still to loud.

Glad to see it's not just me.

    Hoping for a fix soon.

@Logitech, is there a way you guys could change the way it controls sound level over USB to controlling the unit and not windows volume and let windows control everything else? At low volume, i.e. 2-5, the base is overpowering and the satellites are muffled. If you could say crank up the speakers independent of this and control individual things in windows, it would allow us to work around that.

I'm having this problem as well. Windows volume set to 2 is still really loud. I can enable the Surround Sound mode and lower all of the virtual speakers to 1 from 11 which helps but the audio become tinny and doesn't sound good at all. I would love to be able to just use the buttons in top of the right speaker to lower the volume but it lowers the windows volume instead. I might switch back to my z506 until this is fixed.

Same here. The volume above Win-level 2 is way too loud. Logitech, when will you fix this?

I agree 100%. The USB sound it way way too loud. Even at the lowest setting, I can't get it quiet enough. This makes switching between devices a pain, because the volume differential is so huge!

I've tried on Windows and Mac (with or without the logitech software) and the USB gain is just annoyingly massive.

I made it a tiny bit better by adding a custom EQ in the 'frown face' shape (to kill the treble and bass a bit), but slid the entire thing down to the bottom of the EQ scale, and saved it to the device. I will probably just use a line in for now and disconnect USB so I can get some normal levels...

    Please correct this Logitech!

I just use my Creative T4 Wireless speakers for audio playback for right now since they do produce superior sound quality when tied with my sound card and I can adjust the volume independent from Windows volume. The G560s still respond to everything going through the sound mixer in Windows so for now I listen with the creative speakers and the LEDs in the G560 respond to the sound when the audio visualizer is on. I hope Logitech fixes the audio quality and the screen sampler as well as separate the speaker volume from windows volume soon. I like the speakers but so far they are failing as speakers and the LED light sync feature is broken leaving this consumer with a little buyers remorse. I hope they fix things sooner than later. I still have time to return them.

Yeah. It's pretty sad actually since most everything else in their G line up has been really good. I don't regret the purchase, but I do feel for a first time speaker in this line $130-150 would have been easier to put up with these issues. I think they sound great but for the price and the issues at hand as well as the limited software supported so far, I would recommend waiting on this purchase. Especially if you own the Kratos S5 or Razer Leviathan set. I know the main issue with the Kratos S5 is the bass isn't pronounced, but be careful what you ask for. At level 20 the speakers are great, but I am also bothering everyone else in the house.

I can't help at think if Creative improves on the Kratos line or if HyperX decides to throw a set into the ring for 3/4th the price Logitech will need to straighten this up fast. Also, the fact that their support staff can't even get a handle on my complaint or that they have yet to actually reply in this thread pisses me off. Meaning this product was not ready for release, because they can't even speak to it intelligently. **** it's $200 update us on the situation.

Also, don't even contact them They just ask you if you used the EQ in the software. OF COURSE I DID!!! I just paid $200 for speakers. Another solution they had was to connect them using the aux output. If I wanted to do that I could have bought any set out there they didn't support USB... That is a main feature - virtual surround sound.

The new version of LGS came out a couple of days ago I guess. It hasn't fixed much, although it seems a bit more stable. The screen sampler feature still doesn't work and the volume is still way too loud at the lowest setting for Windows 10. I sent Logitech a bug report about a week ago regarding some of these issues. So far they seemed to have heard what I and others have said, but it remains to be seen as to whether or not they make the changes and fixes necessary for a quality experience. I have a G600, G13, G910, G933, Logitech Brio, and the G560 and the speakers are the only things that don't work correctly. So far this is essentially $200 for a broken light show. I'll give it one more week and then they go back in the box for a return to Amazon.

I hope this gets some attention soon. It sounds great above 12 for me, but it's way too loud. Under that it drops dramatically and sounds slightly muffled. It's a pretty big jump between one volume click actually...

After two weeks of waiting I received a short feedback of the Logitech Support Team (from "Vasilena"). She told me that it is absolutly normal that a PC is loud. I should turn down the volume on my PC. 😭 Great idea.

I hope Logitech will fix this bug soon or else I have to return the G560.

Has anyone tried plugging both Aux and USB in at the same time to see if it makes a difference?

I just did, that seems to be considerably better. Just god help you when you update a video driver and it sets USB audio as default. But that seems to be a good work around. I don't know if the audio light stuff would work, but I have everything set as a solid color anyway to match my setup. So it'll do for now.

BrianPowell9202 Doesn't that cause the sub not to function. Whenever I have the aux plugged in and I use that as a source I can get left and right sound, but no bass.

Your right. Why would there be no base over aux? @Logitech

Does Logitech have a support team looking at these messages? Some acknowledgment would be nice to see that they're looking into this. Other's have gotten 'solutions' from Logitech, but it's not the fix we need.

Yeah some, but not all, apps/games have built in audio control and you can adjust your volume that way. But may God have mercy on you if you are watching/listening to something and then switch over to something else that hasn't had it's volume adjusted.

To control it via windows volume is way quicker and easier. There must be a fix somehow?
