MK335 Keyboard not working

What is the answer if I can't get my new combo keyboard/mouse to work.  The mouse works and the keyboard doesn't.  Went through all the steps including new batteries.

  MK335 keyboard problem.

  The mouse works fine.

  I have tried using the instructions.  suddenly my keyboard is not typing all of the letters. 

  It will not type anything requiring a Shift key or the following letters:
  
  q v   From the number pad: 0

   

  Please very frustrating.
