Thank you for the update.  If the Logitech bluetooth keyboard can navigate the PS4, then it would be great if we could at least navigate with our remote.   Question, when you say "You can add the device to your myharmony.com account and create a play game activity so you are able to still have a setup for the Sony Playstation 4." --do you mean that we can add the PS4 through myharmony.com? Because I still do not see it as a listed device...

Hi Stangs555,   The Sony Playstation 4 will be available as a device on myharmony.com within 24 hours.   Best regards,   Harmony Team

Logitech won't have a solution to this until 2014?  Ouch.  Shouldn't it be a quicker fix because the PS4 already recognizes the Harmony Ultimate as a BD Device.  I now have the PS4 added to my devices and activities but this is really limiting.  Can you provide a better ETA?

Will the Harony Ultimate at least be able to send play/pause/fast forward type commands?

I’m quite disappointed by this, for the amount I’ve invested in Logitech products, I’d at least figure that they’d take new device releases seriously.   I mean, I can understand a couple of days to test various aspects of the new device after release, but this is certainly something that wouldn’t take until sometime in 2014.   There is no reason that someone cannot be actively working on this, or at least provide us dedicated customers a beta/alpha release that will support the PS4.  At least if that was done, and it didn’t work properly, the onus would shift back to us, and there would be some understanding, that some functionality may not work correctly.   On the whole, I’m very disappointed.  I’ve spent literally thousands of dollars over the years on Logitech products, this really makes me feel like they could really give a darn.

@Axodious   Normally I'd agree with you but in this case I blame Sony.  I blamed them years ago when I got my launch PS3 and it didn't have an IR port then started selling their Bluetooth BluRay Remote.  $600 for a piece of consumer electronics that couldn't use the world's remotes.  I first bought a hacked-together USB-to-IR dongle that a guy on AVSForums built in his garage.  Then I later bought Logitech's bluetooth adapter.  And last year I upgraded to a Harmony Ultimate.  Logitech basically had their remotes act like an official Sony Bluetooth Remote and it worked great.   I'm happy with my new PS4 but 4 things really tick me off: - Despite still using bluetooth, PS3 controllers don't work.  This is not a technical issue as PS3 Move controllers work, but DualShock 3s don't work.  This was a purposeful decision. - Despite having USB ports, apparently my Logitech Driving Force wheel won't work.  Sony's very cryptic response is  "Generally speaking, no. However, at launch, users will be able to use these controllers if a specific game title allows it to be used within the game. This decision is upon the game developer and will vary from game to game."  It's confusing to me why they would go out of their way to say "no" they don't work and then follow-up that it is game by game.   - I could run a USB extension cord from my media closet to my home theater for my PSEye...but now there is a horrible proprietary connection on the new PS4 Camera.  Cancelled my order for this until they can let me extend the cord 30 feet.  Being proprietary I know I'll pay through the nose for an "official" solution. - Lastly, and circling back to this topic, Sony broke their OWN blu-ray remote...which is why the Logitch products don't work.  When I saw this in the official FAQ a few weeks ago I knew we were in deep trouble: "No, PS4 does not support the Blu-ray remote control for the PS3."     So while it's frustrating my Harmony Ultimate doesn't work, I'm thankful that Logitech seems committed to finding a solution to Sony's never-ending shell game of standards and connection types.  Hopefully we get a solution soon, I'll be patient.

Just so crazy that Sony would break their blu-ray remote.    They invented blu-ray Ffs. You'd think they'd want an easy transition with the PS4.

This has got to be solved within a few weeks, at the most.  I'm not a programmer but if a logitech keyboard can control the PS4, then why the heck would the Harmony Ultimate, that has native bluetooth, not be able to do the same.  I agree that I've paid a ton of money for the Ultimate and Logitech should have had this working as soon at I got the PS4.  The developer software and release date has been known for a very long time for the PS4.

Dear Logitech,   Previously, the Nyko Blu Wave device allowed me to use my Harmony remote directly with the Playstation 3 through the USB port. Do you know if this set up will still function with a PS4? If not, can Logitech configure the correct commands to be programmed to the remote so it does work?   Thanks

So how are we supposed to pair our PS4 with the Ultimate hub? I see no option...

I am frustrated as everyone else. But why are we blaming Logitech? Sony also has to issue a software update to make any bluetooth compatible. Even my PS3 bluetooth is not compatible. Sony could have installed an IR to make life easier for everyone just like Xbox One, which is compatible with all the Harmony remotes, IR and RF. My PS4 has about 25% the versatility of my PS3 which can stream avi, mkv and mp4 video files, can use external HD, play 3D BluRay etc. All the PS4 can do is play games, which is fine, but the release games are crap.

And that right there is pretty much why things are the way they are at the moment.  PS4 is a games console first and a media box second. It may live in the Living Room, but Sony has built it from the ground up to play games. No MP3 support, No CD support, No DLNA Network Streaming. As Logitech and users have discovered, even the Bluetooth support isn't as complete as the PS3.  It has very limited device profile support. And the fact that the controllers are no longer Bluetooth (because suprise it's not built to be responsive and resistant to latency) means that additional Bluetooth profiles are priortized farther down the list. Essentually, the Bluetooth remote was a controller with no analog sticks that occuiped the seventh device slot. Now that the controllers are their own proprietary Wifi. The profile that supported controllers support gets put on the back burner. Eventually Sony will get around supporting every single feature people want. But it certianly isn't going to happen "within a few weeks".

If a game developer wants to write in support for one into their game on their own, we're fine with that. We have other features that we need to finish first."

Is this true?  According to the PS4 FAQ from Sony:   What input/output ports and connectivity features does PS4 support? \r\nHDMI OUT, DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL AUDIO), Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, and an auxiliary connector reserved for PlayStation Camera. PS4 also features integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi for wireless internet connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1 for DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller connectivity.

I don't think it's true. Many have reported being able to pair bluetooth devices with the PS4, they just don't do anything.   I also strongly disagree with the statement that Sony will eventually support every single feature people want. If they didn't even come close on the PS3, why would they strip tons of features from the PS4 only to add them back later. That makes no logical sense. Sony has made the PS4 a bare-bones gaming only machine, not throwing in everything but the kitchen sink as they did on the PS3. If you think otherwise, you're going to be very disappointed.

I just confirmed that CEC works from my samsung TV to the PS4 (samsung calls CEC anynet+).  Tonight i'll try to set the ultimate to send commands to the TV instead and see if that works.   I'm hopeful!

Will these patches/fixes include support for the Logitech Harmony Adapter for Playstation 3? The device gets picked up by my PS4 but none of the commands work. It would be absolutely amazing if Logitech would patch support for this so that I can get back to controlling my blu-ray player (ps4) via my Harmony One!

I don't think Logitech can do anything without Sony releasing the codes and/or their approval.

Can I navigate the menus using the Harmony Ultimate ? Can I pair the hub with the PS4 ? Is it just an empty placeholder so the PS4 will show up in my gaming activity, but I still have to press the "on" button myself. This is just as stupid (from Sony's side) as Microsoft's recent changes in Windows 8 with respect  to waking up the PC from USB IR receivers... (you can not).

You cannot navigate with your Harmony.  All this is is a placeholder.  When you select an activity that uses the PS4 it will go through all the motions but you won't be able to control the PS4.

Anybody know why the LogiTeam has not responded to any of our questions other than on Nov 15th?

Because they said a fix won't be available till next year. Why would they tell us every two weeks that Sony has done nothing yet to fix this on their end.

Apparently hard since Sony broke everything.  Sony's own PS3 Blu Ray Remote doesn't even work.  It's not like there are 10 other products that do it right and Logitech is lagging...there are zero products on the market right now that act as a remote.  I definitely cut Logitech slack here and put the blame with Sony.

Perhaps Logitech should contact DreamGear and find out the codes they are using, as they have a wireless bluray remote for the PS4 on the market on Amazon........... come on guys, get your act together and get this working.  I paid too much for this remote for it to be useless when theres a $19.99 alternative on the market.

I'll be more impressed with DreamGear when: A.  It actually ships.  Any product with a 12/31 release date is sketchy to say the least...basically they told Amazon "We'll launch before the end of the year."  GameStop has it listed as 1/31/14.  On a side note if you go to their website and filter for PS4 they don't even list the remote.  Hmmm... B.  It doesn't use a USB dongle

I put in the model # for my PS4 but it is not recognized...I'm confused - how do I select this device as a placeholder so that I can add "Play a game" as an activity?
