I see that it is in the database, but have the activities been updated to support it?   It's very different from past systems and I was trying to figure out how to configure it so I can move around the menus, change TV channels..etc all through the One.  I can navigate the menus, but have not been able to get it to work for TV viewing.

I am using the old Harmony software that is installed on my computer. When I add the Xbox One as a device it shows 'Play Xbox 360' as the only possible activity. After clicking 'Next' it says that none of my devices play video games (no digs PlayStation fans) and I cant progress.   Any ideas how to solve it?   I have a Harmony 900.

Hi Maytrix and Simbo2013,   We see that you have posted your questions on a separate thread so I will use that thread to answer your questions.   Xbox One IR sensor location and other info   We will still be answering general questions about the Xbox One and Harmony on this thread.   Best regards   Harmony Team

Cannot get any buttons to work on my Harmony One remote. It just doesn't respond to any commands. This is in an activity.

Same problem for me.  I have added the Xbox One as a device and created an activity which powers the Xbox One, so I know it works, just doesn't allow any buttons to work.

Here's what I did in my scenario which I still have activities which are not xbox related.   after adding the model XBox One as a device... 1) you set up an activity with the Xbox (and your cable box, tv, reciever)...  because you still want to ensure your other devices reset to the correct inputs when if you click help if you still switch between the xbox and other activities.   2) you should go to each non-xbox device and edit the device settings so that the power is always on ( I  was assuming that if I didn't do this the Harmony would end up turning on my TV, and then the Xbox would probably attempt the same action and end up turning the TV off... so I did it more as a precaution)   3) you then go to the "Buttons"  tab, and customize the Remote's Xbox Activity.   You then have to go and map each button to the appropriate device.  (i.e Play/pause  etc should map to the Xbox action, Volume may map to your reciever or TV volume, etc etc).   Voila the remote seems to work perfectly for me after going through the above steps.

I just received my Xbox One, and while I had programmed my Harmony Ultimate remote to include the Xbox One prior to 11/22/13, I quickly realized after setup that my remote was neither powering on/off my game console, and it was also unable to control the Xbox One in any other capacity.   I saw the notification here in the Logitech forums that the Xbox One device (and any activities that included it) - if programmed before 11/22/13 - should be deleted and recreated.  I have done this; however, still no luck.   I tried resetting my Harmony Ultimate remote and hub entirely, and this did nothing as well.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   (I added the device as "Manufacturer: Microsoft, Model Number: Xbox One" and when making an Activity, chose "Additional Play A Game".  I should also note that both my Harmony Ultimate Hub and my remote itself have clear unobstructed views of my Xbox One console and that the remote is working otherwise perfectly - except of course that it also can't control my new PlayStation 4... But hey, we already knew that the Harmony remotes were incapable of controlling the PS4 until Logitech updates them in 2014 to do so,)

Hi persona1138,   We have tested the Harmony Ultimate with the Xbox One within a Play Game Activity and it should work. You have added the device correctly to your account.   I understand that there is no obstruction between the Hub/miniblasters, but I would like to understand better where the Hub is located relative to the Xbox One. I would even suggest if possible to move around the mini blaster and place it in front of the Xbox One to see if you can get the device to work.   Also only the Hub/miniblasters are controlling the Xbox one if you have added the device without changing the hub assignments. I would test to see if the remote can control the device within line of sight. Can you try the following:   1. Tap "Menu" on your Harmony Ultimate  2. Tap "Settings > Devices > Hub assignments" 3. Select your Xbox One device and on the following screen choose "Remote only". 4. Tap the "back" button and "Done".   Your remote will Sync the changes to the Hub and you can test with direct line of sight.    Best regards,   Harmony Team

Has anyone found a way to call up the TV app using the Harmony remote yet?   I'm looking for a way to force the TV App to be started when I use the "Watch TV" activity. I'm hoping since the TV app is built in, there might be an IR command for it. This is mainly for those in the house that doesn't want to deal with the Xbox One voice commands or controllers.   Thanks!

This is mainly for those in the house that doesn't want to deal with the Xbox == One voice commands or controllers."   I too would like this feature added on, but I think that would be more of a Microsoft fix than a Logitech thing. I know the Xbox 360 had an option to start at the menu screen or Disk when turned on, but i havent found such an option yet on the ONE. For uverse user who used the Xbox 360 as a STB there was also a option to start the Uverse App when powered on, I think this will be a better solution so we should start sending these complaints to MS.   I have another issue, I want to set my "Watch TV" activity to turn on my Xbox ONE and only my Xbox ONE then let my Xbox ONE turn on the other devices but I have been unable to find that option. I found a way to configure the Turn Off option but when going throught the activity set up it defaults to "Power this devise ON" any suggestions?

I'm finding that the "guide" button doesn't work when i'm in xbox one apps as well, it seems that clicking it executes the equivalent of pressing that navigation pad's "down" button.   Are you folks aware of that as well, and is a fix in the works?    Not having "guide" button functionality on smart control provided remote control is a big issue as you miss out on new xbox one support for fast switching between apps or popping back to start screen to get current time then using select buttom to jump back into app, extremely useful when watching movies.   Also please provide wifi configuration disable option so i can turn off wifi connection functionality all together given i'll only ever be using the out of the box provided remote control.

By adding xboxnexus command to the exit button on the harmony one helpes bring up the home screen. The only problem I have is that I can't navigate thru some apps such as N*L, ESPN, and YouTube. Netlix, Amazon, and Twitch all work fine. Is any one else having this problem?

I added my Harmony just fine but now whenever I use the Harmony to power off everything in my system including my Xbox One but then my tv turns itself back on. I have a feeling this has something to do with the setting on the Xbox to shut off the tv with voice. Help?

I'm in the same boat. I wish we could omit the Turn Off steps in an activity. \r\n \r\nI guess we could try not using the Turn On/Off functions in the activities. I'll try that when I get home. I'd have to use "Xbox On" and "Xbox Turn Off" to turn the setup on/off, though. \r\n \r\nI think the XBO uses a Power Toggle IR command and not an On or Off command.

I hope Logitech implements the ability to disable the Power On/Off Per Activity, Per Device. That would allow the use of a Harmony Remote while also being able to use the Xbox One's Power On & Off feature for TV / STB / AV Reciever. I do not want to disable Power On / Off globally because I still need to use it for PS3 & Wii.

What are you talking about? I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Logitech support and the only resolution to not having my tv turn back on after powering off everything else with the global power off button was to turn off the Xbox One voice control to turn on! The link you posted did not show any resolution!

I agree, it seems rediculous that i cant edit the power options of devices in an activity.  I dont want to go to the device and change the power options, then all my other activities are going to be screwed up.   count me in another who's having of the devices turning themselves on and off when trying to start up.  Harmony is turning them on, and then Xbox turns them off when powered up.  This is bad design on Harmony's part.  Just cause my TV is in the TV activity, doesnt mean i automatically want the remote to power on the TV.,

I'm still having issues with the Xbox One power commands. Everything else works fine (XboxNexus, etc.) but the PowerOff and PowerToggle commands both just toggle the power, and the PowerOn command has no effect.   I've removed and re-added the Xbox One device using both the remote software and myharmony to no effect, and I've even created a brand new myharmony.com account, added a new remote with nothing but the Xbox One as a device, and the power commands still don't work.   Is there something I'm missing, or are the power commands broken at the moment?

Team, can you make the navigation keys working inside Apps?  Most keys are not working inside Apps now.  Thanks.

Hello,   Many of you have been inquiring about the issue you are facing with the Xbox One and your devices powering on and off after starting or shutting down an activity.   I would like to share some information on how to resolve this issue.  If your Television and or another device which is connected to your Xbox One has a feature called HDMI CEC enabled, it may turn on or off that device when you start or shutdown an activity.    We recommend that you turn off the HDMI CEC feature on your devices. I have shared an FAQ link below which describes how the HDMI-CEC feature affects the operation of the Harmony.   http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/38002/section/troubleshoot/crid/410/tabs/1,2,3,4,5/cl/us,en[http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/38002/section/troubleshoot/crid/410/tabs/1,2,3,4,5/cl/us,en]     Best regards,   Harmony Team

Hi GavinG,   We have assigned "PowerToggle" as the command which will power on and off your Xbox One.   We will update this thread when discrete power commands that work have been added to our Database.   Best regards,   Harmony Team

it has nothing to do with CEC   it has to do with the Xbox one sending an IR single to power on the Receiver, STB, and the TV when the xbox is turned on......at the same time the remote is sending the IR signal to power on the TV, receiver, STB.   I want to setup a "Watch TV" activity on the logitec remote, that ONLY sends an IR single to power on the Xbox One, without sending an IR signal to power on the TV, STB, Receiver.  i want the activity to contain the Xbox One, TV, Receiver, STB devices. \r\n \r\nBUT i want other activities, (like for example watching a bluray disc from a panasonic blu ray player) to send a power toggle IR signal to the TV, Receiver, Blu Ray. \r\n \r\nand i know what your answer is going to be.  Turn off the setting that makes the xbox turn on the tv, receiver and cablebox.....But that defeats the whole purpose of the xbox one.   I want the xbox to automatically turn on the devices so the voice command works, but i also want to be able to use the remote to turn on the devices.

Is it possible to have the Smart Utimate or Smart Control hub recognised the Xbox one and other devices are on or off when I shout XBOX ON or XBOX OFF respectively?

No, that is not possible, Harmony remotes can only track what it has done via the start or ending of an activity. It cannot track what either anoter remote or device has done.
