Logitech Options won't load in - Windows 10
Đã trả lờiHey,
I have a problem with the Logitech Options program on my desktop computer runs Windows 10 Home. It loads, but after all nothing happens, a blank grey window opens where I supposed to see my devices, but I don't.
I've started using Logitech Options 2 years ago when I bought my MX Master 2S. It worked very well for me, I could set everything I wanted, but since this error has appeared, I can't do anything at all and when I reinstall an older version it looses all my data tho, I can get all of it back from backups.
Does anyone have any idea what could I do against this, except the one to use an older version?
Thanks for your answers,
Matt

• Open the Run window again (Windows + R)
• Type %programdata% then delete all files and folders belonging to Logitech Options

SOLVED! ----it's your Microsoft Account apparently providing information to the Logitech app which it did not expected/understand...remove it (Microsoft Account) from your Windows 10 -- User Account settings and make sure you have local Admin permissions to be able to run this app.
I replicated this issue, and I figured out what is going on.
LOGITECH PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TLDR:
I had to remove it the first time ....by clicking on the "Stop signing in to all Microsoft apps..." then re-add it (YES!!! you read correctly) and log-out and finally removing the... Microsoft Account to get this to work properly, apparently there was an initial disconnect between my Microsoft account and the computer settings.
On your Windows 10 settings for the current log-on user, remove the Microsoft Account (i.e outlook.com/hotmail.com/etc) the account in-use for the Windows Store and to manage the PC/device, somehow LogiOptionsMgr.exe reads the value as mismatch without a proper validation/error handler and it crashes the executable, once you remove the associated account log-out and log-in back into a new session and launch the Logitech options software. Sometimes it does not crash the LogiOptionsMgr.exe, it remains running but you get the blank window...the symptoms are the same...the Microsoft account is attached to the current logged-on user and the Logitech app wont work with it on. For me, the complete crash kept happening with the Microsoft Account it seemed that it was not really attached or properly synced and yet it reported it was linked to the local user, but with it properly linked the Logitech app does not work either, the fix is to remove it entirely.
__________________________________________________________________
The Options Software crashes in the background, particularly LogiOptionsMgr.exe because it's trying to read the Character type to define the language of the current user, to then define it in the Logitech Options Software.
I believe its the use of these characters --- "@" and ".com", ".", "_" and or other characters in the Microsoft Account that confuses the validation process in the language check scheme inside the software. When it fails to read the language due to the Internet Microsoft Account in-use , it kills the executable : LogiOptionsMgr.exe : and you get a black and gray window without any content nor any device to manage it's options, this happens on version 7.14.70 and 8.0.863 .
if you do not trust my wisdom, create a new local account without a Microsoft account linked to it and launch the Logitech Options Software and you will see that puppy work for the first time on both 7.14.70 and 8.0.863.
Windows Local Administrator permission is a must!, either with a Local admin giving you permission to run or a your account must be part of the local admin group.
I opened a Ticket with Logitech for a fix, you can do the same...reach out to them!.

Found a FIX that actually works after trying ALL the "solutions" listed on multiple forums and directly from Logitech support - none of which fixed the blank window of death.
Seems to be a registry issue more than anything else...
1. Create a new local administrator user on your PC (e.g. 'NEW-ADMIN')
2. Install the latest Logi Options on your 'NEW-ADMIN' user account
3. Check Logi Options works (it should do)
4. Copy the 'C:\Users\NEW-ADMIN\AppData\Roaming\Logishrd' folder to the same location on the main windows account where Logi Options is broken e.g. 'C:\Users\[YOUR MAIN WINDOWS USER]\AppData\Roaming\Logishrd '
5. Open regedit on your NEW-ADMIN account and export the 'Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Logitech' folder. Save this somewhere you remember, as you will need it for your next step.
6. Login to your main windows account, open regedit and import the exported reg folder from the last step. If it already exists, then delete it first before importing.
7. Cross your fingers and open Logi Options!
I hope this works for you as it did for me.

Just use the first version that support MX Master 2S.

Tried everything from this post. Deleted devices and drivers from Device manager, tried to downgrade version of application. My computer is a part of local domain so I haven't Microsoft account logged in. Result is the same.
Nothing works. Detected, that after launching Logi Options process LogiOptionsMgr.exe crashes in Event Viewer.
Please help.

Ok guys, so we're mostly fucked because this has been going on for almost a year. Plus I'd like to get the MX Keys which I won't under these fucking circumstances.
I have an idea which might not work, but I'd give it a try because it would only take a couple of minutes.
I'm thinking of flooding this support forum with our issue, and if we all do this, we might increase the chance of being noticed.
Just to reiterate on what all of us here want to accomplish: to get the damn Logitech Options to work on Windows. Now, we need to make this sound like it doesn't work for MX Master 3 and MX Keys (which is a true). Why these two? Because both the Master 3 and Keys REQUIRE the latest Logitech Options. This itself would make the 'just downgrade the version' solution redundant and null.
So if you're still reading this text, here's my proposal:
Step 1: Follow THIS thread by scrolling up, and click Follow next to the title. This way, we'll get email notifications on what people are talking on THIS thread, which could become an HQ for this bug.
Step 2: Go to this link https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/new
Step 3: Add one of these titles (or a variation, be creative if you want):
-
Logitech Options Not Working On Windows 10
-
Logitech Options Error with MX Master 3
-
Logitech Options Not Loading
-
Can't Use MX Keys with Logitech Options
-
MX Master 3 doesn't work with latest Logitech Options
(to reiterate, I put in MX Master 3 and MX Keys because these two require the latest version of Logitech Options. I own none of these products)
Step 4: In the body of your new post, just add the link to this thread, or something like:
- " https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360033244414-Logitech-Options-won-t-load-in-Windows-10 - Nothing works from these suggestions "If any of you are actually interested in this, please leave a reply because I won't start doing this alone like a mad man.
If any of you have a better idea, I'm down to fuck.
If you are new to this forum and have the same issue, you're shit out of luck. So, please give me a reply here, maybe we can get enough souls to do this guerilla warfare shit.
P.S. Google might even crawl these threads and like, hurt their brand even if it's in the slightest way. By adding MX Master 3 and MX Keys in the post title, we might be more successful as well, since these are the latest hardware that they released and which people are most interested in.

Shameful support. Logi(without)tech. I think the company should learn from netflix and allow software engineers to assist the customer support. No tech knowledge in software is waste of time for all of us. There are better products with better soft.
bdvirus, a tl;dr would be nice

Guys, I updated to MX Master 3, so any old version is unusable. Good news is I found the solution at least for myself.
The problem is related to Windows user account. I do 2 things to solve it, not sure which is the key.
1. Logout my Microsoft account.
2. Change my username in Computer Management
After rebooting, reinstall Options and it works then. I can still log into my Microsoft account and rename my username back to before. Options works well since now.
Hope this is a solution for some people here.

Hello everyone!
I've got good news for all of us.
About month ago I've started a new support ticket and described our problem.
Than I've recorded video and made debug log of Logi Options process.
Today I've recieved a new mail from Logitech:
Thank you for writing to Logitech. We'd like to apologize for the delayed response to your email ticket as we have been experiencing a higher than usual volume of email requests.
Thank you for bringing this to our notice. The issue is currently being investigated and it should be fixed in the next release, which we are looking forward to.I hope that our problem will be fixed in future update.

Russian Guys are correct.
I struggled with the same issue for 2 days - unable to login, gray screen. I did all the crazy things - re-installed logitech options again and again with every single version on the logitech download page, rebooted tens of times, clean boot, created new windows local account, logged out windows account, checked the system event logs and so on.
And finally resolved it by unbelivably simple method.
1. Remove Logitech Options
2. Re-install the latest Logitech Options(currently 8.20.329) and JUST DON'T AGREE WITH Sharing Analytics Data during the install
That's it. Simple. It resolved all for me.

I used process monitor to log what Options going on when starting... It seems the circle turns servral times are trying make the UI working, but after times it gived up. I checked the whole log, the process dead and born again and again. Always ends in the REGKEY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\GRE_Initialize".
I think there is something wrong with the fonts or system GUI setting. I am using chinese in 4K monitor with 150% scaling. Hope these info can be used to debug.
