Logitech G29 centering spring problem

    Hi RobertGud,

    Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this issue that you are experiencing with your G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel. Let me go ahead and assist you.

     

    We might need to power cycle the racing wheel. Please follow these steps:

    1. Disconnect the wheel from the PC/game console and power outlet.

    2. Disconnect the pedals, power adapter and shifter from the wheel.

    3. Wait for 10-15 seconds.

    4. Reconnect the pedals, power adapter and shifter to the wheel.

    5. Connect the wheel to a know working USB port and AC outlet.

     

    Let`s try to calibrate the wheel using Windows Game Controller Settings.

    1. Ensure that you have installed the latest version of LGS for the wheel.

    2. Connect the wheel directly to a USB 2.0 port of the computer. Bypass any use of KVM switches, USB hubs, port replicators and docking stations.

    3. Press Windows + R key to open the run command box.

    4. Type joy.cpl to open the Windows Game Controller Settings.

    5. Select the entry for the gaming wheel.

    6. Press CTRL + SHIFT while clicking Properties.

    7. Go to Settings tab and click Calibrate.

    8. Follow the calibration instructions then test the wheel afterwards.

    Then do the firmware update.

    Try reconnecting all possible connection on the wheel then power cycle from the AC Adapter.

    If still not working:
    1. Disconnect the Gaming wheel from your computer.
    2. Download and save WheelDriverCleaner.exe to your desktop.
    3. Run the cleaner tool by double clicking the file from your desktop.
    4. Close the cleaner tool dialog box.
    5. Reconnect your Gaming wheel to your computer.

    I have the exact same problem. I've tried updating the drivers, that didn't work. I've tried messing around with the correct settings on the Logitech Gaming Software and also in the games, that didn't work either. The games i'm are playing are Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2. I cant seem to figure out what the hell is going on.

    What version of the gaming software are you using? Cause I used to have the center spring setting but its now gone and I have no stiffness or return to center capability and its making driving games suck for me.

    Ah found it... Logitech need to kinda sort the postions of their most up to date one. Well thats sorted my issue out with no stiffness.

    Where did you find the centering pin position in the settings? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the latest version.

    Thank you Manny for your response.
    I have tried to power cycle my steering wheel, and that didnt help.
    I have tried to calibrate my wheel using Windows Game Controller Settings, that didnt do much aswell.
    But when I downloaded WheelDriverCleaner, and did everything you said me to do with it. My wheel started working!! Forcefeedback was working, LEDs in Project Cars 2 were working too!! Finally I fixed it.
    Huge thanks to Many, Im so happy right now.

    3 years from this post and I'm having the same issues. Just bought G29 and thinking about returning. I followed alll of the steps above and none worked for me.

    Hello Poliana,

    Thank you for reaching out and we truly apologize for the experience. We request you to install the Logitech G Hub software and if you have already installed the software. We request you to try the below steps:

    • Remove G-hub
    • You need to delete some files that are hidden by default from your computer. You can view it by following the instructions in this link. https://support.microsoft.com/help/4028316/windows-view-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-10
    • When done, open the Run window (Windows + R).
    • Type %appdata% and then delete all files and folders belonging to Logitech Gaming Software and G-hub.
    • Reopen the Run window (Windows + R).
    • Type %programdata% and then delete all files and folders belonging to Logitech Gaming Software and G-hub.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Reinstall the software
