No luck with 3.9.9 on Catalina here. Any word on a fix?

Not working with me either. I can scroll up and down but it will not point anywhere. The fix is a dud.

The mouse buttons work, but the pointer doesn't move

The scroller works on my MX Master 2S but that's about it.

    Same issue here.

Mouse works on logon screen but after logon, it stops working. The side buttons and scrolling works but the pointer doesn't move at all.

    LCC version 3.9.9

    Logi Option 8.02.86

Looking at system Console, whenever I move my M510, it yelds this:

    error 10:40:40.621274-0300 kernel IOHIDInterface:0x10000093e Report too large 15 8
    error 10:40:40.629261-0300 kernel IOHIDInterface:0x10000093e Report too large 13 8

All the settings related to Security & Privacy, like Input Monitoring, Accessibility, etc are also OK.

Quite bizarre to have this kind of issues at this point. The beta phase of Catalina took months, why didn't sort this out before the GA of 10.15?

So is this the same issue with Logitech Options? Of course I didn't check the Logitech community site before upgrading to catalina because I don't know, I figured any issues would get fixed during the months of Beta... Anyways, having the same issues as others on my MX Master connected via bluetooth. I can move the mouse and scroll but both are very slow despite all my settings in Logitech options not changing. The big thing for me is the gesture buttons and thumb buttons are not working. I don't have LCC because I thought with the MX Master only the LO app was necessary.

If it helps solve the issue, the first time I opened my computer at work connected to my displays, apple usb keyboard, and MX Master mouse via bluetooth, my computer was telling me it couldn't connect to an unidentified bluetooth keyboard. I dont have a bluetooth keyboard so not sure if it was confusing the MX Master as a keyboard or what

Even more frustrated after seeing that this issue was identified at least 3 months ago by beta testers and yet still no solutions.

I have an m500 and upgraded to Catalina and updated to LCC 3.9.9 and now Control Center just says "No Logitech Devices Found". The side back/forward buttons no longer work because Control Center is the only way to make these functional on macos so this is extremely frustrating. The device is detected just fine in System Report as a Logitech mouse. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times now, different USB ports, etc. Rolling back to 3.9.8 is also now impossible because it detects and unsupported OS. Am I stuck?

This is turning into a pervasive problem. Obviously Apple is at fault, but logitech should be more proactive and re-fix their alleged fix

This is not Logi software related. Even without the software installed, my mice with a unifying receiver don't work. I plug in the dongle, and they'll work for a couple of seconds. M705 for example.

Note that I am able to use my G602 Gaming Mouse without issue, and the old gaming software works just fine.

This has been an issue since at least JUNE with the Catalina beta!

    See: https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOSBeta/comments/bxz6qj/catalina_not_working_wireless_mouse_logitech/

UPDATE: My very old M510 works just fine with and without LCC installed. Note that one does not use Logi Options like newer products (such as my M705) mentioned in the Reddit thread.

So I finally got mine fixed after playing around with it. I tried Logitech's instructions and it didnt make a difference but after installing the update to Logitech options, I then went into activity monitor and force quit the Logi Options Daemon. It wouldnt force quit at first so I tried multiple times and eventually it did force quit and then all of a sudden everything started working on my mouse again. Dont know if that will help any of you but its worth a shot

Killing the Daemon is not a permanent fix, even if it worked for you. It will resume either right away or at next boot. By the way, mine won't die.

Anyway, the fault is not tied to Options, as it occurs even with it not installed.

Oddly enough, my mouse and keyboard (both paired to a unifying receiver) work on the login screen for my mac, but not once I'm logged into my mac.  K350 Keyboard and M705 mouse.

Note to Logitech.    You guys are going to lose a lot of business unless you get this Catalina issue fixed. What is the ETA?

My m500 isn't recognized anymore is Logitech Control Center, so impossible to set up side buttons. And to scrolling in the system is incredibly slow.

    Please patch it !

Logi Options is not saving anything, as soon as i leave the app or i jump to another app it goes back to default settings.

@Jonathan Blaine - Mine wouldn't die either but I just tried multiple times (out of frustration) and it eventually died.

I have not had an issue with my mouse since I did that. I havent restarted my comp yet, but I have disconnected from the BT mouse multiple times and it has reconnected and had no issues since.

It does work again after updating the firmware of the unifying receiver.

    I updated firmware. Still dead.

    Terminal reports ICC as

    .ControlCenter.HIDDriver (3.9.9)

    Receiver:

    ch.Unifying.HIDDriver (1.3.9)

We STILL have a problem, Houston.

Note: This post was updated <11:39 AM PST>

If you use Logitech Control Center (LCC) 3.9.8 or earlier, please update to the latest version of LCC before you upgrade to macOS 10.15 (Catalina).

To install the latest version, open LCC and click on any device. From the menu bar, select Check for Updates. You can also get the latest version from the Download page here https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360025297833

If you experience any issues, please check this FAQ: Important information for Logitech Control Center and macOS Catalina and Mojave https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360023202814

NOTE: We are aware that after upgrading from macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier to macOS 10.15 Catalina with LCC (Logitech Control Center) versions 3.9.8 or below, some Logitech Unifying-based devices may stop working. This is a known issue on macOS 10.15 Catalina and we’re actively working with Apple to address it.

In the meantime, if your Unifying device is not working after upgrading to macOS Catalina, please upgrade to LCC 3.9.9 from this link and reboot the system to complete the installation.

If your device is still not working, please check which version of the Unifying drivers are loaded into the system, to do so:

    1. Launch Terminal from /Applications/Utilities folder

    2. Run the following command :

    kextstat | grep -i Logi

    105    1 0xffffff7f8252b000 0x47000    0x47000 com.Logitech.ControlCenter.HIDDriver (3.9.9) BB513FDB-C9C7-3A6F-AD71-58CDD322B095 <104 76 49 25 6 5 3>
      106    0 0xffffff7f82582000 0x16000    0x16000 com.Logitech.Unifying.HIDDriver (1.3.9) 4E15EC6B-3BB3-3644-B366-F5EFB857C2BB <105 104 49 25 6 5 3>

If the “com.Logitech.Unifying.HIDDriver” is any version other than 1.3.9, then the new driver was not properly loaded by macOS Catalina. To fix this issue, please try the following steps:

    1. Start your system in Recovery Mode:

    - Restart your computer (From the menu bar, click on the Apple logo and select Restart)

    - Hold the "Command" and "R" keys until the Apple logo appears

    2. You should see "macOS Utilities" screen, if not, repeat step (1).

    3. Close this window using the red button on the top left

    4. Click on "Choose Startup Disk..."

    5. Then select "Restart.."

    6. Lastly, select "Restart" again - you may see a spinning icon for a few minutes before rebooting.

My M720 works except for moving the pointer and clicking. I can scroll up and down but it will not point anywhere. Now using a magic mouse 2 until I find a replacement.

I appreciate everyone’s suggestions, but I am not savvy enough to start monkeying around with the operating system. Any idea when there’ll be a solid fix?

    The procedure outlined above,

including booting into Recovery, worked for me. My mouse is now functional again.
