Windows 10 "Memory integrity" (Core isolation) not working with Logitech Gaming Software
Hello Logitech,
please update the drivers of your "Logitech Gaming Software" (LGS) and "G HUB" because they are not compatible with Windows 10's security feature "Memory integrity" which is part of "Core isolation".
With LGS installed, it is impossible to activate the "Memory integrity" feature since the activation fails with error message "Memory integrity can't be started. There may be an incompatibility on your device".
The reason for this incompatibility are certain Logitech drivers from the LGS, which you can see by running Microsoft's "Device Guard and Credential Guard hardware readiness tool":
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=53337
This is the output from the tool:
Incompatible HVCI Kernel Driver Modules found
Module: lgbusenum.sys
Reason: execute pool type count: 5
Module: lgjoyxlcore.sys
Reason: section alignment failures: 8
Module: lgvirhid.sys
Reason: execute pool type count: 2
So as you can see, the Logitech drivers lgbusenum.sys, lgjoyxlcore.sys and lgvirhid.sys make the activation of this important security feature impossible!
Please release a new version to fix this issue! Help is very appreciated!

Hello, I have the same problem of TechDude, I think that Logitech should provide rapidly this HVCI driver compatibility for the mentioned drivers in order to fix this important security issue. Thanks.
EDIT August 2022: within Windows 11, after installing the most recent Logitech Gaming drivers (9.04.49), I am finally able to keep memory integrity activated. So, at least for my particular case, the issue has been solved.

Well it appears they are not listening as this complaint has been out for two years without a fix. I guess this is why Corsair has seen such a jump in Gaming Keyboard sales. Logitech get your act together or further become a dinosaur! As this is being written It is being written on a Corsair Gaming Keyboard K60 RGB Pro SE, my semi new Logitech G850 is now in the Garbage can

Same here. Logitech seems to not care anymore. New gear doesn't work with old logitech gaming software, forced to use new g hub. g hub has bugs that were reported years ago and still are not fixed, it is clunky and full of errors. logitech seems to not give a single fuck about the digital side of their products, only problem is, you need those digital things to have physical peripherals working. I used logitech since 2006. mice, headphones, keyboards, all my gaming peripherals. currently in front of me g513 carbon, g502 hero and g600 (yeah two mice depending what i play), g733 on my head, x56 hotas on a side of the desk, g923 packed in drawers (dont play sim driving much recently)... over the years i spend thousends of £ on logitech gear. I need new keyboard... guess what, I finally decided, after 14 years to drop brand loyalty. Logitech doesn't seem to give a fuck about their customers experience. They did once, long ago. Just like Blizzard did. companies change. get more and more greedy as shareholders need to see growth and growth. cuting corners more and more... logitech of today is a shadow of awesome company that it was. Time to move on.

I have the same issue, just mist a business meeting because of it. Now i have to compromise a whole brand new Windows system, just in order to use the Logitech Cam. Doesn't look like Logitech isn't doing much development in general to improve it's products,.. since 2012?! I am experiencing another crucial bug that doesn't ever get fixed. MX mouse smooth scroll settings only working if i unpair, then pair the device, each time i startup the system. I don't understand why Logitech chooses to be a company that delivers stellar hardware with crappy software. Isn't very logi(cal)tech to me.

Look's like I have same problem.

I need to add my voice to this. LOGITECH - are you even listening to your support forums?
You continue to sell new hardware with ancient (almost 11 years old!) drivers which prevent important security features from working, and therefore risk the security of your user base. And you can't even be bothered to answer this call?
I'm both disappointed and angry once again. This rubbish, plus the debacle that is your total lack of support for the c930c camera mis-sold and inadvertently bought during the start of the pandemic profiteering from it - brings home to me that you care not a jot for your customers.
For that reason Logitech, you can forget aver selling me a product in the future. Your hubris is disgusting.

Glad to know Corsair is a good alternative. (I love their PSUs.) I replaced my Logitech keyboard (because the CTRL key broke!) with a Redragon K580-PRO Opto-mechanical keyboard that cost about half as much and is ten times better. (Also, Redragon has the decency to implement all of the lighting controls on the keyboard AND in their software, so I can choose not to install it if I prefer not to.) My Logitech G502 Hero mouse still works, but I can't wait to replace it with a Redragon so I can get rid of this defective Logitech software.

Hi,
The support only gives standard text phrases for 3 years now, which is really bad for such a big company. I guess I will never buy a Logitech product again...
I found out, that in the changelog for Logitech Gaming Software 9.04.49 they fixed the issue (Released Mai this year, they only needed 3 years for this...):
- Updated drivers for Windows 10 and 11 code integrity(HVCI) compatibility
I had this version installed and still got the warning because there were files from older versions of the software still present on my system. You can delete them with the windows disk cleanup util:
Click Start, type Disk Cleanup. Right-click Disk Cleanup from the results and click Run as Administrator -> Be sure to check "Device Driver Packages" and start the cleanup. After this I was able to enable the core isolation on windows 11. I hope this can fix the issues for some other people too.

When the CTRL key on my Logitech G810 Orion keyboard broke off its prongs a few months after the warranty expired, Logitech refused to replace the keycap. I replaced the keyboard with a Redragon K580-PRO Opto-mechanical keyboard that cost about half as much and is ten times better. (Also, Redragon has the decency to implement all of the lighting controls on the keyboard AND in their software, so I can choose not to install it if I prefer not to.) Now, I'm stuck with Logitech's G502 Hero mouse and their poorly-written software which prevents me from using Microsoft's Windows security features. The mouse is good (so far), but I can't wait for it to break so I can buy a Redragon mouse.

Logitech,
Can you at least do your customers the courtesy of making a response to this issue? The silence is deafening. I'm a bit overwhelmed that you seem to care so little about the concerns of customers who have given their business to you. Do you not want our business anymore? That is the impression that this lack of response gives. I hope this message will not simply be ignored. I've had a good history with Logitech for many years, so I am surprised.

Still seems to be an issue - but i guess when driver date is 10/22/2012 that's not be surprised.
Come on logitech provide some customer service and get this sorted - why would anyone purchase another of your products after encountering or seeing something as unacceptable as this.

This is still an issue. unable to turn on core isolation (VBS) because of logitech and considering this is now an issue 2 years continued its pretty embarrassing.
Windows 11 is pushing towards TPM & VBS use and Microsoft have made it widely known well in advance. you would have thought Logitech thought best to get ahead of the wave of people who will be running Windows 11 and actually update their drivers to be HVCI compatible, now a large number of users will be unable to use this critical feature which protects against malware.
I wonder if Logitech will compensate any user who suffers from malware attack and lose of data!?

Are you saying that all Logitech drivers DO support Windows 10 and 11 Core Isolation's Memory Integrity, and that everyone who has reported that it does not work has some local problem with their Windows installation? This seems unlikely since we have not heard from a single person who can enable Memory Integrity on Windows 10 or 11.
P.S. I replaced all of my Logitech keyboards and mice with Redragon products. As soon as I uninstalled the Logitech drivers, I could enable Memory Integrity and I haven't looked back.
-
> Let us know if there is anything else in the future we can do to assist.
There is. It would be helpful if you could answer my earlier question: "Are you saying that all Logitech drivers DO support Windows 10 and 11 Core Isolation's Memory Integrity?"
If they do not, your recommendation for users "to try cleaning the Driver store, uninstalling all Logitech software and reinstalling and then try enabling the Core Memory Integrity Protection." is--at best--misleading and--at worst--a straight-up lie.
We can (grudgingly) excuse Logitech for deciding that it is not worth fixing this bug, but we cannot excuse companies for lying to our faces. That shows a lack of ethics that does not earn my business.
Please be honest with your customers.
1. Does Logitech acknowledge that their drivers do not support Core Isolation's Memory Integrity feature on Windows 10 and 11?
2. If so, does Logitech plan to fix this bug? If not, can Logitech show us any computer where Memory Integrity is enabled while Logitech drivers are installed?)
3. If so, when does Logitech plan to release a fix for this bug? If not, thank you for being honest. Customers can take this into account when deciding what peripherals to buy.
