MX Master 3 - Easy switch via MX Keys
Đã trả lờiHello all,
Can I switch computers with my Mx Master 3 and Mx Keys, using only the easy switch button on my keyboard?
Or do i need to press the button on the bottom of the mouse as well?
When i switch i need both the keyboard and mouse. So there is no case where they shouldnt be grouped together.
Thankyou.

Hi Pag Enip,
Thank you for reaching Logitech! Apologies for not providing a prompt response. Allow us to answer your inquiry about your MX Master 3 mouse.
Apparently, we don't have an option to relocate or assign the easy-switch to other buttons of the mouse. As an option, if you're using a Windows/Mac OS computer, you may use the Logitech Options Software to be able to activate the Logitech Flow feature.
We have this concern already raised to our team for there are also lots of other people requesting for the feature. We cannot promise any specifics if it will be implemented but please bear with us with the request.
If you have further inquiry, please do not hesitate to reach back to us or contact our support team for direct assistance.
Regards,
Logi_Matt

I am also very interested in an alternative solution here, I unfortunately cannot use Flow in my setup and flipping the mouse over is less than ideal. If there was some way to have the keyboard buttons move both the keyboard and mouse that would be perfect, otherwise if we could use another button on the mouse or even keyboard to switch the mouse that would work as well.

This would be a very useful addition to the Easy Switch keys on the MX Keys keyboard and also to the M720 Triathlon mouse (the two devices I use across three computers). Ideally, this would be an option that could be configured (turned on or turned off). Some users would find it useful to switch both devices to the same computer with a single button action. Some users would find it useful to be able to independently switch the keyboard and mouse to a specific computer.

That's a great idea!
My understanding is that a keyboard and mouse don't actually know about each other so it's probably not trivial to make the MX keys switch button inform the mouse as well.
But in case both are connected to the same Unifying receiver then the protocol could be enhanced to send a message to all other active devices and asks them to switch to another Unifying receiver.
This could well if all devices support the same number of switch-devices.
MX keys and MX Anywhere 2S supports 3 devices. but the M590 supports only 2. so that could work but with limitations.. -
I complete agree with this feature request!
I bought the MX Keys and Master 3 together just to use in a work from home scenario so I could switch them back and forth between my work and personal computer. The work computer does not have admin rights, so I cannot install the Logitech Options software on the work computer to enable the Flow feature.
It's very disappointing with how well designed everything else is that this seemingly obvious integration point was completely missed.

Also want this feature!
Almost created my own ticket.
"This is feedback/request for feature. I have the Master MX Keys and MX Master 3 Mouse, I want to sync these so that the switch between computers together. I'd prefer to control the PC with the MX Keys since the buttons are easier to select. "

I'd be interested in this also.
I'm using the devices on a work computer at time where I can not download 3rd party software. I've linked them to the same Unify Dongle on another computer which has allowed to be get them connected. But I'm unable to take advantage of the flow feature.
Thanks

+1 Highly frustrated about purchasing the MX Keys and MX Master 3 and this not being standard. The way they are advertised I thought this feature was a given considering swapping both the mouse and keyboard would be the most common way instead of just one.. By all means give the option to separate them but how many people are really using the mouse on one computer and the keyboard on another at the same time..
Also - I have enabled flow but you still can't do this properly, you have to flip the mouse over and the keyboard will follow but if you press the switch button on the keyboard the mouse won't follow.. I'm not a fan of moving the mouse to the edge of the screen, I just want to use the dedicated keyboard button.
Both high priced items and I'd expect better service then such a crucial but small feature being left unfixed for 6+ months -
fellow members
we are all in the same boat here and my humble opinion is this is falling on deaf ears and when they close to respond, its a boiler plate response. If you look at the top of this page, its says "answered' - which to me means they have responded - with the boiler plate response and therefore don't think we should expect a response.
Just a Suggestion - raise a new ticket raising your own case and drop the link on here - this is what I did and be it I got the same blah blah response, at least its stirred up some noise. The more noise we make I think, the likelihood of this being prioritised for a fix
Thank you

The existing posts cover this well.
I am interested in a MX Master 3 mouse. One of the key features is switch between my personal computer and work computer (where I wouldn't want any additional software installed). The only negative of the mouse that concerns me is the device switching button is on the bottom.
I would consider splashing out on the Master Keys (Windows) keyboard, if the Easy Switch keys on the keyboard also switched the mouse between devices. I will need keyboard and mouse aligned to the same machine, whichever of the two (or three) that is.
So any development on this from Logitech? Logitech have a excellent engagement from their consumers here and I hope have been listening.
I cannot even begin to justify £200 on a keyboard and mouse that I have to switch between devices independently of each other.
