I have the exact same request to be able to use easy switch with both MX Anywhere 2 mouse and MX Keys keyboard

My company blocks Flow with their firewall, so it would be very nice to be able to switch mouse and keyboard together to the same chanel from the easy switch buttons of the keyboard

    same question / same request

I am using "Logitech MX keys" and "Logitech MX Master 3" (both Win10 and macOS) and want to switch both keyboard and mouse with the keyboard "easy-switch" function.

As I think it works fine with the "Logitech flow" Option that both mouse and keyboard are switched from one device to another. So - please Noble G  check this out with your team - why doesn't this work with the "logitech easy switch" function?

    Thanks

I also join this question. I just have bought a combo MX keys and MX Master 3 and thought that it is natural that I can switch both devices by pressing just one key.

Thank you for your support in advance.

    +1

I use K860 and MX Vertical Mouse.
I want to switch mouse and keyboard with a single click of a switch button.

+1 this is 100% the biggest disappointment of the Logitech MX Series. I have a logitech MX Vertical and MX Keys both connected to two computers using unifying receivers - I should be able to use the keyboard button to switch computers without having to use the button on the bottom of the mouse

    OMG yes!!! THIS.

I've reverted to having a second mouse on my desktop so I can click the button on the MX Keys and then just use the other mouse instead of turning my MX Master 3 over and clicking the single button multiple times to the right connection.

Often my computers are on two separate networks (one one a VPN), so Flow won't work in that circumstance.

When my computers are on the same network, I've found Flow to be very unreliable. I use the "Hold Ctrl and move to the edge of the screen" method to prevent unintended transfers, but the amount of time I spend holding Ctrl and mashing the mouse against the side of the screen over and over to get it to switch leaves me saying bad words.

Stop the bad words, Logitech. Please?

Please make this feature. Or at least a workaround... F.E. button could work for the keyboard AND mouse between different unifying controllers or mouse thumb button should let remap functionality to switch devices...

Seeing as auto-switching between machines using flow can take both keyboard and mouse this should be a straightforward bit of functionality to add.

Can't believe this isn't already a thing. Please, please, please Logitech - add this!

A copy of my comment to related topics (there are many) :

    Same as several people here.

In the products description, both Easy Switch and Flow seems to be related in your wording.

    Conceptually, both are very close.

It is clearly misleading us in our purchase (should be part of a FAQ as so many people have misunderstood this).

Flow is fine as it is, but two cons:

    1. there's a kind of latency from switching from the profile 1 (Unify one) and the other profiles (Bluetooth ones)... quite nullifying the experience...
    2. this kind of feature helps a lot in a Work From Home scenario. and in WFH situation, we are more likely using company's VPN and unfortunately, Flow is not working at all in that case... that's why the use of Easy Switch for linked keyboard/mouse couple is a must-have !

Really struggling to understand why this wasn't an obvious feature? I bought both products thinking that with all the flow features and dedicated buttons, that this was the whole point!!!!

Following the suggestion of other guy on this community I added a negative review to my Amazon purchase of Logitech MX Keys and Logitech MX Master 3, I hope my review reaches many people and allows them to take a better decision before their expensive purchase. I suggest every one to do the same to avoid others the frustration we are suffering and also maybe somebody at Logitech finally reacts.

Another reason why this feature should be implemented:

I have to use Flow with "Hold Ctrl and move to the edge" option enabled. That is to avoid unwanted computer switch when I change a numeric value in my 3D software, dragging the mouse off the screen...

So, for example, if I'm working on computer 1, and press Easy-Switch #2, the mouse is still on computer 1. Holding Ctrl will have no effect because it's sending to the wrong computer (#2)!

In that case, I either switch back to computer 1 and use Flow with Ctrl key or cycle-click the mouse button, which are both really a pain!

Please tell me that this feature will be implemented in Logitech Options+...

(My setup: 3 PCs with MX Master 3 & MX Keys)

Yes!! This feature is clearly MIA but has obviously become critical and should absolutely be added.

Some would say it's "a bug" not being able to switch more than one pheripheral, comfortably and rationally, between devices with a single action.

Lifting your mouse is so 2013!

I have a PC, laptop and also Samsung S22 Ultra (MX works great on that! but it lacks this duo-switching)

    Hi Birgir,

    Thanks for reaching out.

It is not possible to use one Easy-Switch button to at the same time change both your mouse and keyboard to a different computer/device.

We do understand that this is a feature that a lot of customers would like. If you are switching between Apple macOS and/or Microsoft Windows computers, we offer Flow. Flow allows you to control multiple computers with a Flow-enabled mouse. Flow automatically switches between computers by moving your cursor to the edge of the screen, and the keyboard follows.

In other cases where Flow is not applicable, one Easy-Switch button for both mouse and keyboard might look like a simple answer. However, we cannot guarantee this solution at the moment, as it is not easy to implement.

    Hi Sneha D,

As a developer, I fully understand that some features are not as easy to implement as some non-developer people might think...

In our case, in particular when Flow is not applicable (because of VPN restrictions for example), I admit that this is a complicated problem: Indeed, if you can't use the network to get the devices to "talk" to each other, you have to go down another route, possibly a proprietary low level communication protocol that probably not exists and may involve new drivers and/or other microchips...

However, when Flow is applicable (which is my case), I can't see any valid reason why you couldn't switch the mouse and the keyboard at the same time when one hit an easy-switch button: This is the opposite of what Flow does when the user moves the mouse to the edge of the screen! Your developers can already programmatically decide which computer the devices are linked to. We just need the "mirror option" in the keyboard Easy-Switch tab (see image below):

    This is obviously doable:

    • The user presses an easy-switch button on the keybord,
    • The Logitech Options software get the event (this is the case: The computer name changes its color),
    • It sends a remote command to all the computers on the network (this is already implemented),
    • Whichever computer has the mouse attached to should tell the mouse to switch to the other computer (like Flow does).

Common, this is not crazy complicated! And I'm sorry to claim that you are wrong (or lying?) when you say:

It is not possible to use one Easy-Switch button to at the same time change both your mouse and keyboard to a different computer/device.

    Cheers.

    Paul

Since I am generally connected to my office with a VPN, access to my local network is blocked, hence Flow doesn't work. The keyboard buttons are readily accessible; wouldn't it make sense to link the keyboard focus switch with the mouse switch... seems like a no-brainer to me.

as ist sems to me it doesn‘t make any sense to write to  logitech support to ask for enhacement (link the keyboard focus switch with the mouse) due to nothing happend last two years …  except of „it is not easy to imlpement“ from Sneha D

extemly poor quality of logitech customer/product support.

thanks for selling such a immature product to a very high price but for that not willling to follow very sensible feature requests from several customers!

Working with multiple pcs on different networks. This is why I bought the MX duo, figuring that even if Flow didn't work for me, Easy Switch would have me covered... Nope :(. I might not be so very annoyed if at the very least I could set one of the configurable mouse buttons to switch instead of having to turn the mouse over all the time.. feels like a bit of a non-ergonomic place for a button that I need to press so often.

If easy switch also switched the mouse, I think I would actually recommend the set. As it is, I feel a little embarrassed with what I paid for them. This feature is a big deal... crickets from Logitech

As a software developer, I adhere to the practice of making software changes only when:

    1. BUG - these features are obviously not a bug
    2. SALES INCENTIVE - it's tough to measure how many future customers there will be if features like this were added.  Further, there appears to be no competitor offering such features.
    3. OUTCRY - a vast majority of customers request things but, how many is enough?  I only see a few dozen people on this board clamoring for these features.  Can someone find a bigger audience?
    4. LOW-RISK/LOW-COST - here is where Logitech may be failing.

Logitech already has the "Follow-Mouse" feature and it is called "Link-Keyboard".  For some reason, they have it married to the Options+\Mouse\Flow\MoreSettings.  "Link-Keyboard" shouldn't even be associated with FLOW at all.  It should be MOVED to Options+\Mouse\Settings.  If the manual-mouse-switch works without FLOW (I can confirm that), then "Link-Keyboard" should also work independently.

Regarding future enhancements to this whole switch thing, I think it might make more sense to also allow the converse to be true.  If a keyboard can follow a mouse then a mouse should be able to follow the keyboard.  That said, a "LinkMouse" option should also be in Options+\Keyboard\Easy-Switch.

Finally, for those of you wondering which computer your mouse and keyboard are assigned to in the dark when all screensavers are engaged, it would be nice to have the option to keep the light on which indicates which computer the mouse/keyboard are assigned to.  Every keyboard maker in the world keeps the light on for things like caps-lock/scroll-lock and that doesn't drain the battery too much.  Why not do the same for the "switch computers" lights?  Heck, the option could even come with a warning that it might drain the battery faster.  NOTE: hitting fn is a good workaround for this as it will light up the assigned computer's easy-switch button on the keyboard for a few seconds.
