After investing in your product which is still being offered for sale the drivers should have been available at launch.
Logitech should inform consumers on your product website that your Flight Panels are NOT COMPATIBLE with
Flight Simulator 2020.
Failure to do so is deceptive marketing.

I have nearly $1,000 invested in Logitech Saitek Flight Switch Panel, Multi Panel, Radio Panel, and various Logitech Saitek Instrument Panels. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is by far the biggest, most important, and revolutionary launch in the history of flight simulation yet none of these Logitech Saitek flight simulation products work with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Logitech hasn’t event updated any of the drivers for these devices in 2 years since September 2018. I have the devices plugged in to my PC correctly via USB, yet Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 doesn’t even recognize any of these Logitech Saitek peripherals listed above in the control settings section of MS Flight Simulator 2020. The devices do appear in my PC Device settings as being connected to my PC, but Microsoft Flight Simulator can’t see them at all, so I can’t even map the devices buttons and switches manually.
There are hundred of thousands of people like me who have each invested hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in these Logitech flight simulation products and they still continue to sell them, so it is absolutely inexcusable for Logitech to not continue to support and update the drivers for these flight simulation products. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has been in development more than a year. Microsoft offered a public beta as well as early access to 3rd party developers so there were plenty of opportunities for Logitech to get all of their flight simulation products ready to work with MS Flight Simulator 2020 on day 1 of release. It is completely inexcusable that none of these Logitech flight simulation products work with MS Flight Simulator 2020. It’s inconceivable that Logitech software developers weren’t collaborating with Microsoft during the pre-release beta period to ensure that all of their flight sim products worked on day 1 of release of MS Flight Simulator 2020.
Any moron could see that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 was going to be the biggest launch in the history of flight simulation and its absolute insanity or complete incompetence for the Logitech flight simulation development team to have not been working closely with Microsoft prior to launch of FS2020. Even Honeycomb, a small start up that makes only one flight simulation product, a flight simulator yoke, was collaborating very closely with Microsoft prior to release of FS2020. How Logitech totally drop the ball on all of these devices is completely inexcusable. Logitech probably sells more flight simulation hardware products than any other company, yet they haven’t updated the freakin drivers for these devices that I listed since September 2018. That is absurd. They will gladly take our money and they continue to sell all of these devices but it appears that they don’t have a single person working to keep them updated and compatible with latest flight simulation software.
Not to mention the fact that these devices don’t even work properly with x-plane, FSX, or PreparD. They work partially, but the LED screens don’t work because the drivers don’t communicate with Windows properly so Windows doesn’t provide enough power to the devices to light the LED screens. Myself and many others have had to download 3rd party software or manually edit the Windows registry in order to change the power management settings in Windows for these devices, so that the LED screens work properly. This has been an issues for years. How the heck can Logitech developers not realize this and release a fix in updated drivers is again completely inexcusable and complete incompetence or complete negligence of these products. Logitech makes millions of these products but they provide zero support. I will never purchase another Logitech product again in my lifetime. That’s a guarantee. They are thieves. They steal our money but don’t support the products they sell.

25 Aug 2020, 20:52 GMT-7Dear Nick,
Thank you for contacting Logitech! My name is Hazel and I will be helping you with any issues you have today. I understand you would like assistance with Microsoft Flight Sim on when will be the drivers be released. I am happy to help with anything you need.
Also, we'd like to apologize for the delayed response to your email ticket and we have been experiencing a higher than usual volume of email requests.
As of the moment, a plugin or fix for the MS Flight Sim 2020 is not available. Due to unforeseen changes between the Alpha and final versions of Flight Simulator, updated support for all the Flight Panels has been delayed until September.
We will make sure to follow up with this concern to our appropriate team.
Again, thank you and stay safe.

Sales of these Sim products is becoming very high and Logitech products are not working, that's the first stage of failure I would say. Time for new players to step into this growing market.
Luckily, there are companies which do have the right customer focus, I got a much more response from realsimgear.com (they really have great products):
"Microsoft recently announced a launch date for MSFS2020 that was much sooner than we anticipated. We are currently working with the development team to ensure compatibility with RealSimGear products, however much of this functionality has not yet been introduced by Microsoft or their development partners. Our products will work with supported aircraft in MSFS2020, it's just a matter of when. We will keep you updated regarding our progress with MSFS compatibility in upcoming newsletters."
That's how you should respond!

Nick, thank you for posting that response to the thread. That is the best news I have seen to date in regards getting our panels working with FS2020, at least we know they are working on the fix. Just why didn’t they post this announcement on the panel’s download page to save us all the angst.

I’m not buying that response above from Logitech regarding “unexpected changes” from Alpha to launch. Logitech hasn’t updated any of the drivers or software for any of their flight simulation products in the last 2 years since September 2018.
On the Logitech website, if you go to the Support section and then in the search window, search for any of their flight simulation products and then go to the “Downloads” section for each of Logitech’s flight sim products. Then look at the dates of the latest versions of the drivers and software for each product. All of them are dated September 2018.
There are a few 3rd party apps that will enable MSFS to recognize the various Logitech Saitek Panels, however they all use a plug-in called SIMCONNECT which is not currently compatible with MSFS. Currently if you use any 3rd party applications that use SIMCONNECT or FSUICP, MSFS will becomes even more unstable than it currently is and your FPS will drop drastically down to 5 to 15 FPS to the point that MSFS will regularly freeze and crash. The changes between Alpha and the launch version is MSFS did cause the issue with SIMCONNECT, but that doesn’t explain why Logitech hasn’t updated a single software or drivers for any of their flight sim products in the last 2 years since Sept. 2018. Logitech could have updated the drivers for their Saitek Panels so that they worked natively with MSFS without the need to use SIMCONNECT.
SIMCONNECT is used by many 3rd party applications to connect a huge number of 3rd party peripherals like full G1000 MFD and PFD hardware panels, MITI boards, and tons of other 3rd party hardware peripherals that tons flight simmers have in their home cockpit setups.
FSUIPC is an add-on that is used to connect Foreflight on your iPad to MSFS. It’s also used to connect some other 3rd party software applications to MSFS.
Bottomline, both SIMCONNECT and FSUIPC and any 3rd party application that uses either of these add-ons will cause MSFS to becomes completely unstable and suffer a huge drop in FPS, followed by frequent freezing and crashing.
Regarding the Logitech Saitek Panels working with MSFS, either MSFS and Logitech will need to offer native support for the Logitech panels to be recognized by and work with MSFS or MSFS will need to fix the issues with SIMCONNECT, so that we can use one of the 3rd party apps to get MSFS to recognize the Logitech Saitek Panels.
I would not count on Logitech doing anything on their end. The fix will probably have to come from Asobo Studios the developer of MSFS.
This is completely unacceptable! It’s not like Logitech has gotten out of the flight simulation business. They are still selling all of their flight sim products including the Saitek Panels, their yoke, throttle quadrant, and their rudder pedals.
So it’s inexcusable that Logitech hasn’t updated any of the software and drivers for any of these products for an entire 2 years. MSFS was the biggest and most important launch in the flight simulation industry in over a decade.
Many of the manufacturers of flight sim hardware peripherals worked closely with MSFS over the past year to ensure that their products worked well on day 1 of launch or even much earlier during alpha and beta testing.
For the Logitech flight simulator development team to completely ignore the development and upcoming launch of MSFS and for Logitech to not updated any of their software and drivers since 2018 is inexplicable and unacceptable. I can guarantee you that I won’t be buying any Logitech flight simulation products ever again.
