Pro X DTSx surround sound not working
Đã trả lờiMy DTS software with in device manager does not turn on when switched to it, it just flicks back to off. I think this causes audio problems as DTS supported games try to activate it but it keeps rebounding back to OFF. My drivers are up to date my licence on unbound said its good to go, what am i missing here?
-I have also seen that my pc does not even allow windows bad surround sound option (does the same thing)

I confirm that the DTS SOUND UNBOUND software does not work. we paid for a headphone with a DTS license but it does not work. Logitech has not done anything to remedy the problem for months it is a scandal. I would not buy any more products Logitech in the future

I have found a temporary fix to this,
In your task bar type in Sound Settings, when on the page click on device properties and then turn surround sound on in there, do not go into the device manager (stay in newer looking settings) Then this will cause dts to be on but be crackly, to remedy this go to the unbound app and then click on the headphones tab, then explore, then play their audio thing, (starts with a wind-chime). Then go to audio mixer and turn off the volume for just the dts unbound app by using its slider (right click the audio icon in taskbar to get to mixer) DO NOT MINIMISE THE APP or it will got back to be being crackly.
You need to do this on EVERY login but it is v.fast to do and simple. If it does not work then I can take photos of steps :) If wanting to test the difference, there is a good way of doing this (go into discord and chat to people with it on and off you will be able to tell especially if you are used to their voice, as you will be able to pick up on it)
If the audio goes crackly it is because the unbound app has for some reason either minimised, crashed, closed or just paused the video (sometimes i have missed the play button or it just paused so just check that)
If you do these changes while in discord you will need to leave the call and rejoin as it changes your audio channel and thus you will not be able to hear any one (you will be able to hear your mute and unmute notification sounds).
Sorry for the long post, but this is what i have found and the troubles i have gone through to get it working, would not have been able to get it fixed with out friends that are better than Logitech support and just randomly clicking.
If you do contact Logitech with every responce i found that ti took at least a day to respond and that they cant tell you more than re set your drivers etc, even though i clearly stated that i had done so!
-Note to logitech:
Fix your audio drivers for DTS this is mis representation of a product and that you can not just rely on students to spend hours of their time on troubleshooting for you to find a temporary fix
your product support is useless as they don't read your issue and just tell you to repeat steps that i have told them i have done
your product seems to not be compatible with windows software please just put a patch through!

Does DTS unbound say that you have a licence/ recognise that you have a pro x?
you dont need to uninstall anything, if there is pricing for a licence go to the 3 dots on the right of the screen on the unbound app and then click refresh licence it should recognise your headphones. Make sure to do the process in the correct order or it wont recognise it and it will be empty.
If you went straight to the explore tab and there was nothing, was the ready to go button also greyed out. This suggests that DTS did not apply and that you have to check that you did select the surround sound feature in sound settings. (if it is still an issue i can take photos in around 5 hours)

And have you enabled DTS Headphones X within: sound settings > Device properties > put the spacial sound mode onto DTS not windows or off, then click configure and it should bring up the dts unbound? I have also seen that in the configure window that selecting spacious can help the explore setting to show.
Moreover, if you right click the sound icon in the task bar does it show that your computer is on DTS (middle option) don't click on this to change sound type as it does not work.

if that works then that could be your temporary fix, however mine might be working as i did reinstall everything, including my headphones audio drivers. I also found that rolling back the audio drivers helped for a time so that could help you. (to do this go to device manager, audio, pro x headphones. you can either roll back then reinstall or uninstall then reinstall) make sure you fully know how to reinstall the drivers for them just to avoid any panic as they obviously wont work without them.
Also when rolling them back etc, once it is done you should restart your PC.
(try the rollback first as that worked straight away a while ago for me then look into uninstalling and reinstalling [watch YT videos if you have not done before])

I am also affected by this very frustrating bug. It has been extensively documented here: [Logitech G Pro X] Crackling with DTS Sound Unbound after recent Windows Update : LogitechG (reddit.com) and seems to be ongoing for quite a while.

I have found another work around, Uninstall (using the windows uninstaller) GHUB. Its v annoying if you have other devices (i do [which also have developed hardware malfunctions!] the G403 pro un-known to me has a left click issue where it just does not allow you to consistently hold down left click (detrimental to ANY competitive FPS game).[Back to Pro X] It seems to be the issue with the Ghub and DTS. Due to the price and Logitech just marking this issue as RESOLVED/ANSWERED where it is clearly not i will be seeing if getting a new pair using my warranty will fix the issue but if not then i will be changing brand. I am hoping that they wont shaft me with any unexpected policies to worm around getting a monetary refund.

Rolling back driver as reccomended on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/j6rxb8/logitech_g_pro_x_crackling_with_dts_sound_unbound/ works fine to remove static noise, but destroys all Blue Voice features.
