No support for M1 Macs for Logitech Capture

    This is not a solution, it doesn't make sense that support stops at Intel CPUs, in 2 years there will be no Mac sold with intel CPU, what's the plan then?

    Our software team is currently working on it. We hope to have a stable version out soon. We apologize for the inconvenience. At this time Capture has been cleared as compatible for Big Sur on Intel. We hope to overcome this compatibility issue quickly. We recommend to regularly check for updates to Capture via this link:

    Hi Pooja B,

    Can you give a timeline on this? "overcome this compatibility issue quickly" doesn't mean much when it's already been close to 12 months and still no progress.

    The 'link' in your post is not a link, it's just text. Can I also suggest that if the team are working on a version that might not yet be 'stable', a Beta version to allow some real user feedback would be beneficial.

    Hello Pooja B,  your company "canned" responses is getting old on this issue.  We just need straight answer like a working version (M1) is expected to be available Jan. 2022.  This way you don't get bombarded with repeat questions as to when a compatible version of "Capture" be available.

    I just bought a Brio 4K to be used specifically with a M1 Mac... and Capture - that is a nice utility on PC.

    It would be really appreciated if a timeline could be made available and, eventually a Beta, so that at very least we could start trying the program and also help ironing out any bug in a speedy fashion.

    C'mon guys, after 1 year and almost while Apple launching the new Macs with M1X/M2 the LogiCapture software is still not working!

    My awesome Logitech StreamCam was awesome on PC but like a shit on my MacBook Pro M1 cause the software is not optimized! Lightness and contrast are totally wrong if not set into the LogiCapture app.

    And please, do not answer "we are working on it" but give us a software launch date.

    Instead of waiting for Logitech, who refuse to provide answers, what M1 compatible alternatives for Logitech products have you all seen? I'm about ready to replace all of my Logitech/Blue hardware with a different brand that cares about those who like to stay up to date with the latest technology and prefer to use Apple over PC.

    Jesus Christ Amogha A. Logitech has been pushing the same bullshit now for over a year. 

    Why don't you just commit too that none of the left-over Indian programmers has any idea on how to write proper code and that you have just given up on yourselves!?

    We have been waiting for over a fucking year to get a M1 compatible SW version of Logi Capture and you still didn't manage. That is so pathetic.

    Stefan Meggl while I certainly share your frustration, the strong language will probably just get your message removed and maybe you banned.

    Logitech - this is a joke. When I purchased a $200 Brio - not a cheap webcam - I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the main software for it to work on a current and popular platform. You don't even need to write a native app, almost all other apps work on M1 machines with translation. There is likely some small changes needed to get this working. I appreciate that these things need investigation, prioritisation and delivery (I work in this space so I know the challenges), but it's been more than a year now which is just unacceptably long.

    Apple is going all-in on their own chips. All this signals to me is that Logitech are not committed to supporting their (expensive) products, so I will look elsewhere for future purchases.

    To be honest, I am pretty disappointed in the Brio anyway. It's awful in low light - the built in webcam in my M1 MBP actually does a better job when light is an issue. Eyeing up a replacement now - maybe am OBSBOT

    Adam Jobbins, you're probably right but I couldn't care less at this point. 

    The StreamCam - not a cheap Webcam either - is just a plain WebCam if you cannot use the Capture sw, which is needed to fine-tune simple things.

    I have been asking them for a year for a sw roadmap (which every sw developing company has btw!), so that we we know as to when to expect a running sw.

    I asked for feedback from a supervisor or someone with responsibility.

    But no, the support here in this community is a joke. I have been hearing the same nonsense for a year (download latest SW, re-install, bla bla) now and we can all just vote with our wallets and make Logitech shut down business for good.

    Now reading the "community platform" customer service feedback again from the last year, I am now 95% certain that we have been writing with a chatbot all the time. Otherwise none of this makes any sense.

    frankly... the support is lackluster, to say the least. we will need to make sure that "out there" people are aware of this issue starting from all the review sites.

    No other way to let this company move out of its "comfort zone" (just to keep it "clean")

    unbelievable. never anymore I am going to buy logitech again.

    Logitech devices and software are only compatible with the device's listed operating systems. As Apple and Microsoft release new operating systems we will assess their requirements and our hardware and software compatibility.

    Guys, let's BOYCOTT Logitech and go to other brands: I'm using my SONY a6300 instead of Logi StreamCam and in future I'm planning to use a brand new Envato webcam.

    Lmao, "As Apple and Microsoft release new operating systems we will assess their requirements and our hardware and software compatibility"... over a year later, they're still assessing M1 requirements. What an absolute joke this company has turned out to be. I'm gutted that I have spent so much on Logitech products over the past few years.

    This is all very disappointing.  The M1s have been out for over a year and more are arriving as Apple shifts their entire line to their chips.  I'm surprised that the Intel versions of the software aren't supported by Rosetta2.  Just about everything else that worked on my Intel Mac runs fine or better than before on my M1.  Just not Logitech apps.
