MX Master 3 "Inactive" on Logi Options+
Đã trả lờiPeriodically, I wake my computer from sleep and my MX Master 3 mouse will work but lose its customized functionality from Logi Options + (scroll direction, shortcuts, etc.). When I open the application, I see that the mouse is considered "inactive" so none of my customizations work. The only fix I have found is to reboot my computer, which is very annoying. I have tried to force quit the app and stop its processes, then reopen the app, but that does not fix the issue either. I am running Logi Options+ 0.51.7474 on Mac OS Big Sur. I have also had this issue in the past using the original Logi Options app. I submitted this issue in the feedback section of the app as well but wanted to see if anyone had any advice on how to remedy this issue.

Hello --
This morning logi options+ AGAIN listed my mx keys and mx master 3 mouse as 'Inactive', thus rendering all my customizations and bindings also inactive. This is happening quite frequently lately, with no other explanation than the recent updates to the beta software.
The _only_ way I've been able to recover from this state is to reboot my MacBook Pro, which is not an acceptable solution in any way whatsoever. And this has happened so many times I've been able to try all the suggested approaches, including a few of my own.
I've uninstalled the beta software (after much ado trying to get the original logitech options software to allow me to use it without it stating 'use this in logi options+, but that's another story). maybe if this software matures more I'll try it again.
I realize it's beta/early access quality, and that's very true in this case, and I wish I could afford the time and inconveniences to continue using the software, but alas, it's not to be for now.
Thank you for the excellent products in general, as I'm a particular fan of your mx mice and many of your keyboards

+1 I moved from the non-Beta version of Logitech Options for a LogiTech MX Master 3 mouse on macOS 12 because it kept failing and none of the suggestions here did anything. None of buttons worked, not even the scroll wheel. If I force Logi Options+ to stop from Activity Monitor, I can temporarily get the scroll wheel working but none of the other buttons work.
The Beta (version 0.92.64050, 'Logitech Options+') also keeps failing The app says INACTIVE but there is no way to make it active. The above [link https://support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/4409239507479/comments/4409247613463] points to a page for Bluetooth settings in System Preferences. In my case, this is irrelevant, because the settings are already set that way.
So, LogiTech: what now?

Hi Jasper,
Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the inconvenience. We request you to try updating your software and check if that resolves the issue. Also as the Logitech Option+ is still in beta version we request you to provide us your feedback to improve the software. You can provide us with the feedback tab at the bottom of the window, and submit your feedback from Option+ software.

Hello Sha,
1. macOS (12.3.1 (21E258)) and LogiTech software are up-to-date.
2. I know that beta-software means that it is being tested. I was recommended to use it because the non-beta Logitech Options showed the same faults.
3. I'm not sure what information that your software people want but I seriously doubt, after all these years of problems, that they will improve the LogiTech software. I am currently using SpeedMouse instead http://plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/download.php, which, so far, has been perfectly stable and includes good support for customisation.
4. The software needs to work reliably for the hardware to have any purpose. These problems, along with hardware problems with one of your keyboards, has put me off using your products in the future.
Best wishes, Jasper

Thank you. I’ve deleted Logi Options now, but I had noticed this suggestion, here, before, Sneha.
Logi Options did have System Preferences permission and was not working.
So, your software people do need to fix this (or LogiTech needs to offer to buy SpeedMouse from the guy who develops it).
Best wishes, Jasper

I too suffered from the 'inactive' state that I would sometimes find my Logitech devices in when using logi options + as I've described in an earlier post of mine above. However since I've updated to the latest version available I have not experienced this situation lately. This is on both a MacBook as well as a Windows 11 box. It's been a few months even since this last occurred. I'm happy that it seems to have been addressed at least in my situation. Keep up the good work I appreciate your products and the support I've received for the issues that I have encountered.

Sha S I am having the same problem on Windows 11 with 2 mice M510 and M585. One is BT and the other is receiver. The problem was also on 2 different computers with the same mice. I had the problem on LogiOptions and about 10 days ago moved to LogiOptions+...same problem. It is noon my time and it has happened about 3 timed already today. Only way to restore is to reboot or kill all the processes and restart the app. VERY annoying. My laptop NEVER sleeps when it is in my docking station. And sometimes it just stops working when I am working on my computer

well given that I am using my M510 as my go to mouse and it is a receiver mouse, not sure how this is going to help.
For some reason you all don't seem to get the part where the problem is happening on both receiver and BT mice and both Windows and MacOS platforms. Why is that?

Hey team.
I'm having the exact same issue from the start of this post on macOS Monterey 12.6 (Macbook M1 Pro).
In fact, after reinstalling Logi Options + twice, the device stopped appearing on the device screen.
Re-pairing the keyboard did not seem to take effect.
My Logi Options+ is on version 1.26.5989
