    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. We request you to try the below-mentioned steps and check if this helps you to resolve the issue:
    1. Try a different USB port on your computer.
    2. Make sure the camera isn't connected to a USB hub or docking station.
    3. Make sure you're using the correct driver for your camera by selecting the Downloads tab on your product's support page.
    4. If your camera is connected to a USB 3.0 port (usually has a blue plastic insert), try using a USB 2.0 port instead.

Check on Device manager > Audio > remove device >Unplug the device> Restart computer > Reattach the camera back.

Also, check the below link for getting started for C270 HD Webcam:

In case you need any additional support, please write back to us.

    Regards,

Aravind, thank you for your prompt response.

    1.  I tried a different USB port, but it did NOT resolve my problem.

    3.  I think that I am using the correct driver for my computer.   My camera is a “C270/HD 720p” webcam.  When I did the download, I did so on the “Getting Started - HD Webcam C270” webpage at https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024320953.  And I clicked on the Downloads link on the left side of the webpage.

After the download, there was a “Logitech Camera Settings” icon on my Desktop.  When I clicked on the icon, I was asked if I wanted to do a second download.  I wasn’t sure what to do, so I did the second download.

The “Logitech Camera Settings” icon links to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\LogiShrd\LogiUCDpp\LogitechCamera.exe

The only thing that I can do with this icon is change the camera settings.  I cannot do anything else (e.g., I cannot take pictures).

On my old computer, the Logitech icon linked to:
     C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\logishrd\LWSPlugins\LWS\Applets\HelpMain\ launchershortcut.exe

With that icon, I was able to take pictures.

QUESTIONS:  Do I need another driver for taking pictures, and doing other things?  And if so, where would I go to get that driver?

    Aravind,

As my comment above indicates, the problem with my camera has NOT been resolved.

Will someone be assisting me with this problem?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Thank you for writing back. Please check on the below steps and install the native drivers and check if you are facing the same issue.

Here’s how to install native UVC drivers for your Logitech webcam:
    Open Device Manager.
    Expand Imaging devices.
Locate the name of your Logitech camera in the list and right-click on it.
    Select Update Driver Software...
Click Browse my computer for driver software.
Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Check Show compatible hardware, and then select USB Video Device.
Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.

Let us know if you have other questions.

    Mohammad,

Thanks for getting back to me.

    Here’s what I did:
    - I opened the Device Manager in the Control Panel
    - I could NOT find an Imaging Devices icon; I did see a Cameras icon
    - I expanded the Cameras icon; I saw a USB Video Device icon and no other icons
    - I expanded the USB Video Device icon; I saw a USB Video Device Properties window
    - I clicked on each tab in the Properties window (General, Driver, Details, and Events)
    - I did NOT see any icons that said Logitech; however, I saw icons with the date that I downloaded the Logitech software from your website (i.e., 10/4/2022 )

In the Driver tab window, there is an Update Driver button for Driver Provider Microsoft and Driver Date 6/21/2006.

Should I use that button to install native UVC drivers for my Logitech webcam?

    Thanks.

    Mohammad,

Thanks for getting back to me.  Unfortunately, that didn’t work.

My camera is a “C270/HD 720p” webcam.  When I did your download to my current computer, I did so on your “Getting Started - HD Webcam C270” webpage.  And I clicked on the Downloads link on the left side of the webpage.

After the download, there was a “Logitech Camera Settings” icon on my Desktop.  However, there was NO icon to allow me to take pictures, and to do other things, with my webcam.

    I have two questions:

QUESTION #1:  The “Logitech Camera Settings” icon links to “LogitechCamera.exe” in folder C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\LogiShrd\LogiUCDpp.  In order to take pictures, and to do other things, with my webcam, do I need to link to “LogitechCamera.exe” and pass a specific parameter to it?  And if so, what is that parameter?

QUESTION #2:  On my old computer, there was an icon that linked to “launchershortcut.exe” in folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\logishrd\LWSPlugins\LWS\Applets\HelpMain.  With that icon, I was able to take pictures, and to do other things, with my webcam.  After doing your download on my current computer, that folder was NOT on my computer.  Do I need that folder on my computer?  And if so, what else do I have to download to my computer?

    Thanks.

As indicated above, I bought a new computer several months ago.  When I had my old computer, I purchased a “C270/HD 720p” webcam.  Several weeks ago, I tried to download the Logitech software to run my webcam on my new computer.

When I did the download to my new computer, I did so on the “Getting Started - HD Webcam C270” webpage (at https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024320953).  And I clicked on the Downloads link on the left side of the webpage.

After the download, there was a “Logitech Camera Settings” icon on my Desktop.  However, there was NO icon to allow me to take pictures, and to do other things, with my webcam.

    I have three questions:

After doing the download on my new computer, that folder was NOT on my computer.  Do I need that folder on my computer?  And if so, what else do I have to download to my computer?

QUESTION #3:  If the answers to the above questions are “no”, what Logitech software do I have to download in order to take pictures, and to do other things, with my “C270/HD 720p” webcam?  Please specify the title and/or address of the webpage for this download.

    Thanks.
