    Hello Amogha
Sorry but this does not help. I've found this advice already.

But the installer is showing the above error immediately after typing in the correct password. It does not request me to give him any permissions.

I've started it via the terminal to see more errors. Maybe this helps you ti find the problem:

    Hi Marcus,

Thanks for reaching out. We would suggest you to try the steps below:

    Uninstall Options +

Open Finder, and choose the Go > Go to Folder from the Menu Bar.
Type /Library in the Go-to Folder box and hit Enter key to open it up.
As the /Library folder shows up, type the keyword(s) of Logitech in the Search box, and click on Library next to the Search:again.
As the results appear, identify and select the matched items with the named of the keyword(s), then right click on them and choose Move to Trash option.
Repeat the same steps to delete Logitech Options traces in the ~/Library directory.
The /Library is at the top level of your hard drive, while ~/Library is inside your Home Folder. Removing related items from both these locations is necessary to completely uninstall Logitech Options 6.70.2047. Junk files could be found in the following directories:
    /Library~/Library

    /Library/LaunchAgents~/Library/LaunchAgents
    /Library/LaunchDaemons~/Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/PreferencePanes~/Library/PreferencePanes
    /Library/StartupItems~/Library/StartupItems

    Final Steps:Restart your computer

    Hello Vasanth

I have deleted every file/directory I could find via the terminal. I have used the command "find /Library | grep -i logit" and find ~/Library | grep -i logit". I have done a reboot. I'm already on macOS 12.6. I have downloaded the latest version from the given URL.

But the error comes again. After typing the password the installer is starting but stops immediately with the error "Option+ can not be installed".

Please have a look on the error below when I start the installer in the terminal app.

    marcus@macbook-marcus:Downloads ./logioptionsplus_installer.app/Contents/MacOS/logioptionsplus_installer

    Hello Vasanth

I have had this idea already. But it changed nothing at all. I've also ended all running additional tools.

    Greetings Marcus

    Hello
Finally I've found the reason for the problem.

About half a year ago I have changed the default user umask from 022 (default) to 077, which is much more secure and prevents other users on the same host to access other users files.

After switching it back to 022 the installation finished successfully.

Maybe this helps others and your developers can fix this behaviour of the installer. So far it is the only software I own which has a problem with this setting. And Apple is fine with changing the umask https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201684

    Greetings
    Marcus
