To optimize the view behind a window, perform the following steps in the Home app:

1. Open the camera Live view.
2. Tap the settings icon on the top left — this should bring up the settings menu for the camera.
3. Toggle off the Night Vision Light. This will remove any glare caused by the night vision light from the camera and rely solely on the light from outside to illuminate the view.
   NOTE: If your Live stream or recordings are not well-lit, we recommend that you use an external IR light, such as the LIFX lights, for illumination.

4. Toggle off the Camera Status Light. This will remove any glare caused by the Status LED in the video.

NOTE: When placed behind a window to look outside, the camera's view and image quality will be impacted due to reflections from the inside of the house on the glass as well as those caused by the glass itself.
