Rugged Lite uses a single, replaceable CR2032 battery.
The battery tray compartment is located on the top edge of the keyboard and requires a paperclip (or similar) inserted into the battery tray hole to pry it out. When inserted, the battery’s negative side will be facing up, and the positive side (typically the side with the text) will be facing down. The battery tray will only re-insert back into the keyboard in the proper orientation.
