Bridge mode is a method where your Squeezebox Receiver is connected directly to your router, and your Controller is connected to the Receiver. This sometimes helps to connect your Duet when you cannot connect to your wireless network using usual methods. To connect your Controller and Receiver in Bridge mode, do the following:
-
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to your Receiver and the other end to any available port on your router.
-
Plug your Squeezebox Receiver into an AC power outlet.
-
The light on the front of the Receiver should be a slow blinking Red.
-
Turn on your Squeezebox Controller.
-
Choose your Language and click the center button.
-
Choose your wireless region and click the center button.
-
Choose 'Connect using Squeezebox'.
-
Choose your Squeezebox Receiver from the list, and click the Center button.
NOTE: The Receiver name should have 6 characters behind it, which is the last 6 digits of the MAC address of your player. Your Receiver’s MAC address is located on the bottom.
-
You should see the light on the front of the Squeezebox Receiver change colors in the following order:
- Red
- Yellow
- Green
- Blue
-
Once the light is Blue on the front of the Squeezebox Receiver, your Squeezebox Controller should ask you to choose a music source. Choose SqueezeCenter from the list and follow the on-screen instructions.
NOTE: If you do not have SqueezeCenter installed go to Step 11.
-
Choose SqueezeNetwork from the list and hit the center button. If you do not have a SqueezeNetwork account, please see Knowledge Base article 360023384473.
-
Once your player is registered to your SqueezeNetwork account, your Squeezebox Controller should say 'That’s it, continue'.
-
Click the Center button to complete the Squeezebox Duet Setup.
You should now be able to play music.
