If your Harmony activity doesn't work correctly and the Help feature doesn't fix the issue, you can use the Activity tutorial to help you make the adjustments to your activity. After you finish, the changes will sync back to your MyHarmony account if you have Wi-Fi enabled. Otherwise, you can sync changes back into your account the next time you connect your remote to your MyHarmony account.
To access the Activity tutorial:
-
Tap the Menu icon.
-
Tap Settings.
-
Tap Activities.
-
Tap Activity tutorial.
-
Follow the on-screen instructions.
If your Harmony activity doesn't work correctly but the Help feature fixes the issue, see below for possible solutions.

Activity never works correctly when first powering on my devices, but the Help feature fixes the issue.
Solution: Your Harmony Ultimate remote sends multiple commands when starting an activity. You should:
-
Keep the remote pointed at your devices until it stops transmitting signals.
NOTE: This isn't necessary if your devices are controlled by the hub.
-
Remove all objects that interfere with the Infrared (IR) signal path between your remote or hub and home entertainment devices.
-
Make sure the hub and IR mini blasters are placed where they can send signals to the devices.
-
Adjust the Power-on-delay — some devices need a warm-up time before a signal can be accepted (see answer 360023415473). For example, to allow for a change to the input for a device when starting from an off state.
NOTE: If the Help feature doesn't fix the issue, you should review your activity settings and verify that the correct inputs and devices are selected for the activity.

My Harmony remote doesn't switch between activities correctly, but the Help feature fixes the issue.
Solution: The Harmony remote sends out multiple commands with delays between them. Without those delays, some commands may lock up or not work properly. If the delays aren't working correctly, you can adjust the inter-device delay (see answer 360023415473).
NOTE: If the Help feature doesn't fix the issue, you should review your activity settings and verify that the correct inputs and devices are selected in the activity.

My TV/AVR isn't set to the correct input when switching activities, but the Help feature fixes the issue.
Solution: This can be fixed by adjusting the input delay (see answer 360023415473).
NOTE: If the Help feature doesn't fix the issue, verify that your inputs on the devices match what is shown in the Harmony software (click Devices, select your TV or AVR, and then click Change Device Settings). Also, check that the input commands are correct by reviewing the input settings (click Activities, select an activity to review, and then click View your settings).
-
My Harmony remote sends commands too slowly when I press a button while in an activity.
Solution: Having some delay when you press buttons (ex. channels, volume, numbers) is necessary so your devices will respond correctly. To adjust the Inter-key Delay, see answer 360023415473).
-
My activity is missing commands.
Solution: When a command is missing from an activity:
-
It might be named differently from what's on your original remote.
-
The command might not have been added to the device. To add it, see answer 360023415473.

My device doesn't turn on with the Harmony Ultimate remote.
Solution: Some devices use radio frequency (RF) technology and don't work with the Infrared (IR) technology used by the Harmony Ultimate. Others work with both. To determine if your device is RF or IR, see answer 360023415473. Then, check the device manual to see if it can be switched from RF to IR.
NOTE: Harmony Ultimate remote uses (RF) technology to communicate with the hub. It cannot control other devices using RF. If your device uses IR technology and your remote can't control it, make sure nothing is blocking the signal between the remote and the device.
-
My devices aren't in sync after updating my remote.
Solution: It's important to make sure that all your devices are off before you test the remote after an update. If one of your devices doesn't turn on or off, or if your device doesn't switch source inputs correctly, use the Help feature (tap the Menu icon and then tap Help on your remote).
